Of course the Tories should be quizzed about their manifesto. I would imagine that like Labour, they will have costed it. if not then they will deserve the hubris that will follow.

I couldn't find much about the Labour demographic but this suggests it hasn;t changed much at all.

The huff don't like Corbyn, even referring to him as 'dear leader '

True, but if he were truly centre left,he wouldn't have banged on about his admiration for Maggie

Bollocks. I admire Wedgie Benn for his principles but his politics are s***e.

You can admire people on the other side. I thought you would get that because you can see things from 'more than one angle'.

Since Corbyn became leader, the membership has nearly tripled. I would say that the vast majority are on side. Youth voter registration is also at record levels, which again is fanatastic news for democracy.

As for the spending, you have to ask who is asking the question about Labour's figures? Surely the Tories need as much scrutiny, particularly considering that under their leadership, borrowing has gone up, debt has gone up, tax cuts have continued and government subsidies to private companies in infrastructure, the health service, education etc etc have only exacerbated? Yet no one seems to question where the money for this is coming from. Funny.

By contrast, Labour will have a fully costed manifesto, and the promise of a National Investment bank and targeted sectors for government borrowing put them in s different league to the Tories in terms of economic accountability and detail.

I laughed so much at this post I nearly pissed myself.

Believe what you want to, comrade. But it is s***e because McDonnell clearly cannot count.

ps. IMHO,the current Tory regime are indeed scumbag politicians...unpleasant people who have done unacceptable things...just an opinion

Unlike you,I also see the faults in 'my own' side..that's the essential difference between us

What in your humble opinion are the main faults with the current Tory government, and with your chosen party last time, UKIP?

Edited by legaleagle (15 May 2017 1.15pm)

Rumpole, UKIP ceased to be relevant on June 24 2016, a day you will one day recognise as being the day we freed ourselves from the Socialist Federation of Greater Germany. Despite your petulant moaning.

However, the working class need a right of centre alternative to fight for its rights, given the lefts betrayal of it and its obsession with minorities, so it is heartening to see the Tories adopt the most right wing agenda they have done in years, with a Thatcherite Christian in charge, and hope they stick to the agenda of a clean Brexit, low tax, preservation of the Union, rolled back state and British values.

If they don't, then Sir Nigel will come back with a new political vehicle. Thank the lord for Sir Nigel, Britains most successful politician of recent times, a man of conviction and doing. How you must wish for a left wing Sir Nigel.

Will be interesting to see which way Calder Valley goes. I am surprised he hasn't focused on more marginals that a comparatively safe Tory seat. It is certainly frustrating some of my Labour supporting mates.

Hebden Bridge is in the Calder Valley - labour have held it previously but not for some time. Students don't have a great record of voting

With Corbyn its all talk as it was with Boy Blair and Brown. They could not look after themselves let alone servicemen ...apart from sending the poor blokes to war under a false banner ???
