What is underwhelming about SD is that he follows BFS. The beauty of Dyche's potential appointment for me is that we will not be getting arrogant stubbornness (Pardew), nor blind theatricals (Warnock / Holloway) or inexperience (Dougie). We will be closer to a professional and systematic structure akin to TP. I think Dyche is a step Down from BFS, but his insight and learning have been strong and he has progressed well as a manager during his tenure at a Burnley. He is a good character and a people person and he would galvanise the team much in the same way BFS bought the best out of the team. In addition to his footballing brain, I like Dyche's personality as he's actually feckin funny. I would fully support Dyche at the club as we would have a sensible approach to football and not an ego at the club and he is capable of getting us to perform. We would be strong and stable (meh). We actually need a bit of that and he has shown a large degree of loyalty. Would be a good appointment imho.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

"Garry Monk and Roy Hodgson are not understood to be high-priority candidates" - That's the best bit in this article.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

I think he's taken Burnley as far as he can. They had one of the smallest budget and he's done a great job. There's 3 stages of a promoted club. Stage 1 - survive in the prem for at least 3. Stage 2- target top 10. Stage 3- try to break in that top 7. We in stage 2 compared to Burnley who are at stage 1. Burnley are a selling club, with gray , heaton and Keane could all leave this summer. Fans who's he gonna attract, in that terms your only good as your budget. Sean Dyche bought Trippier, Keane and mee and have turned into great players.

It was "Mr Smug Eddie Howe" who actually bought Trippier and Mee for a combined £800,000 from Man City after the pair had joined on loan in September 2011. Dyche cannot take the credit for that.

Keane (most likely), Gray (possibly) but I think there is next to no chance Heaton will be leaving Burnley any time soon. He is club and team skipper, a lot of his family live in the area and just last week expressed his desire to stay at Burnley next season.

Yes to both. The right personality is what i was highlighting. He's a man's man, rather than a circus like IH. But the point about gsoh is more about my view of the man rather than the manager. The point about loyalty is too correct as he has been up and down with them and he deserves his shot with Palace. He has kept them up and walking away after a committed period. Tbf he hasn't left anywhere yet as he was pushed from watford and conjecture in the press may not actually be true. What you have to decide between BD is whether you want someone who is keen to progress or someone who is loyal. If you're progress and ambitious then you might be able to offer something new l, but you are loyal does that mean you're happy sitting in your comfort zone not going anywhere? Same with recruitment in any job and something I have to tell my clients regularly. 'Tis one or the other! Edited by pstrutt (02 Jun 2017 7.35am)
