That would be fine with most people in both respective countries. However Lefties, Social Justice Warriors, Progressive Liberals, Globalists, BBC types and Jeremy Corbyn will all be incandescent with rage and opprobrium at the audacity of such a 'wacist' comment.

again you're buying into this negative tabloid stereotyping, I actually lived temporarily in a shared house before I moved here, there were other people from other European countries, Bulgaria, Estonia and Romnania, they worked locally in all different jobs, a few of them in hospitality like Hotels and catering. They worked bloody hard, really geniune and nice people and those companies just wouldn't function without them. We'll never agree on this subject but my opinions at least come from first hand experience What about these African workers who are going to take the place of the skilled and semi skilled East Europeans? Oh they don’t exist because most of Africa is 3rd world. And for the 3,999th time. We do not dislike or despise foreigners. I’ve met lots and I’m quite surprised at how some well achieving east European families in south Croydon have integrated into the local community. The groups of lads don’t but that’s expected. It is the numbers. Numbers numbers numbers, and the fact that British citizen youth are ignored and left untrained. Invite the Mediterranean graduates over and see how much British young graduates like the EU then, because the Mediterranean graduates hate it and for good reason.

So is your point we are going to miss the Romanians and Poles? I have to agree there. When Nowa Huta reduced scale dramatically I was involved in a massive retraining programme, the Poles were highly enthusiastic and loads of them learned new skills in building, electrical and plumbing trades. We could have done similar activity here but - apart from Corby - largely did not. Do you really believe we won't get people from Latin American - or maybe Asian - countries to replace the Poles? We don't have the political will to retrain our own, nor does it seem there is that much enthusiasm from the potential trainees.

Seems like a bigger leap from Asia or South America compared to Poland and a cheap coach trip with all your tools at little extra cost. Youngsters have been let down badly in this country but I don’t think you can lay all the blame at them. British tradesmen have a tendency to waste time anyway so I expect this has had an influence or painted a different image of what being in the building trade is about. Not being in the cafe for very long. Eventually when the message has reached home that the East Europeans are prepared to work harder it’s probably too late. Whichever way you look at it, the British citizens should look and see there’s a possibility of earning and eventually having a property. Having groups of many men living in a house to make their lower wage expectations work isn’t how a responsible society should operate.

DUP wont support May's deal. [Tweet Link]
Thats probably that then, but depends if they will abstain or vote against. Looks likely they will actively vote against. Hard to predict but Arlene just torpedoed May's deal for my money. That means the chances of no brexit have just increased, and the chances of a much softer brexit, with a customs union or even single market (free movement of people) have increased a fair bit.
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

Not abstaining it seems. Dodds just confirmed it with a tweet "we dont abstain on the union". So we will now see how big of a weasel and liar Rees-Mogg is. He earlier said he would be led by the DUP, if they abstained he would still vote for the WA, but if they voted against he would not support it.
