Aid, he said, "cannot be a secondary consideration or a bargaining chip. Protecting and saving innocent lives has to be a priority." Is Biden getting it, at last? Looks like too little, too late for thousands of innocent lives. The aid is not the problem, but the means, and the inability to see what Israel has been doing.

Biden says Netanyahu is ‘hurting Israel more than helping’ it He is right, but he supported him it's too late now. A glimmer of hope with a vessel from the EU but building piers etc. will take time which the starving may not have. The obvious thing is to stop Netanyahu blocking the aid. Fat chance of that, Joe.

They have changed their 150-year-old golden syrup logo that had a dead lion with bees buzzing around it accompanied by the biblical slogan ” out of the strong came forth sweetness.” The more elderly on here, who probably received some sort of religious education, may recall that Samson killed the lion that attacked him with his bare hands and the bees made honey in the corpse, which was apparently a sign of divine favour. Samson’s main speciality though was smiting the Philistines, the enemies of Israel. The Philistines today are known as Palestinians. Samson is said to have killed a thousand Philistines with the jawbone of an ass. Then he took his eye off the ball and fell for Delilah who cut off his hair, which removed his strength. The Philistines took Samson to Gaza and “made sport” of him and blinded him. However, his hair had been regrowing and his strength returned. He stood between the pillars of the temple to their god Dagon and “bowed upon them with all his might”. The temple came down killing 3,000 Philistines – and Samson.

From news reports: A counter-protester has been arrested at a pro-Palestinian march through central London today after displaying a placard reading 'Hamas is terrorist'. Iranian, Niyak Ghorbani, 37, waved the sign in the middle of the rally, which saw thousands of demonstrators gather in the capital, before protesters turned on him leading to a large brawl. Police said he was arrested for assault before being de-arrested after officers reviewed footage. Demonstrators carrying Palestine flags charged towards Mr Ghorbani and attacked him before police stepped in to arrest the counter-protester. Mr Ghorbani was then hauled away from the scene as pro-Palestinian marchers continued to hurl abuse at him, shouting 'shame on you'.

The Biden administration have really found themselves facing both ways here. This, 'we are going to build a aid dock' thing. When American military personnel, turn up on a beach, to build a dock, surrounded by starving, radicalised people, who despise them and have spent the last 6 months being bombed by American munitions, which had diplomatic cover provided by the Biden administration....imagine that.
