Dazza, as much as I don't pay attention to any rumours on here, I think your source(man in pub) was probably close to the truth at the time, as Nuno wasn't available. Maybe when he came onto the market this threw things up in the air as he is a much safer/wiser choice. No one except those truly in the know will ever find out what really went on, and for me until anything is signed its all rumour and counter rumour...

You do have to suspect that there is a decent chunk of money available for this summer otherwise Nuno wouldn't be touching this with a barge pole.

Perhaps the Americans are ready to stay put for the time being and see where this new era leads us. Although, would still seem bizarre of them to pull out of selling the club now.
