Imagine if AWB goes but Zaha doesn’t, because there’s no decent offers for Wilf. Imagine how that’ll disrupt his head and focus. Not only will he probably want to be where AWB is but wished he’d gone earlier as well.

Aye he goes with our good will

Interesting timing as he's blocked himself from social media for 24 hours. Thanks for the memories, but he deserves a chance at a higher level.

Just imagined watching this team with Hodgson still here without Wilf and now I'm crying

Wish him the best but f*** me, next season could be grim. Don't trust the club one bit to replace him.

It was going to happen at some point, I think he deserves a crack at a top European club. It would be pointless going to another Premiership Club. I can see him playing in the German or Italian League.

Good luck Wilf you deserve it...

I find the timing of this very odd.
When he received the charity award a week ago or so he said Palace was his club and he wasn’t planning on moving elsewhere.
I suppose in some ways it’s like the other recent windows where there are mixed messages from his agent/camp as to whether he is staying or leaving.
The big difference this time is that think the club may be willing to listen to offers.
Last year Parish said it would be too big a risk to sell him as you would have to pay a similar amount to that received for Zaha to buy an equivalent player, without any guarantee the new player would be as good or effective.
However, Parish recently talked in terms of doing ‘what’s right for the club and player.’
There is the backdrop of uncertainty around the finances and ownership also to be considered when looking at whether the club would sell.
If he does go I hope he doesn’t become a bench warmer who only features for a ‘big’ club in league cup ties or as a late substitute.
He’s as good as anyone that I’ve seen for Palace in a long time watching the club.

No problem with his comments, he’s navigated umpteen seasons of relegation battles and I agree with him that he deserves a crack at winning something/playing in champs league.
I think it makes sense to do it this season whilst his star is still relatively bright and his ever increasing wobbly/frustrated attitude hasn’t yet fully reared its head.
Anyone saying ‘we pay him this much, he loves Palace, we’re not selling him, he’ll warm the bench somewhere else, he’s not good enough for top four’ etc, probably time to think about what he’s done for us (i.e 8ish seasons of excitement and having a player to lord over all other fans) and support him wherever he goes next.

He’ll need to find his form of last season and further because this season he wouldn’t make the match day 18 of a top 6 team let alone a starting place or an appearance as a sub.

I agree with everyone saying timing is probably about right.

Well I don’t know about you lot but I am a Crystal Palace supporter and I support the players playing for my club. All this BS about these players that have been “good servants” to our club and they deserve the chance to go elsewhere bla bla bla. They get paid very well for playing for the club I support and we pay for a lot of that and I probably earn in a year what they earn in two days!!!!!!!!!! If he wants to leave so be it but it doesn’t mean I have to be happy for him and I definitely won’t be supporting someone who doesn’t play for the CLUB I SUPPORT!!!!

Yep, gone, they’re gone. CPFC exists before and after Wilfried Zaha and if anything we’re starting to show we’re adapting to not being useless without him, even if it’s dull as fvck, and that’s before we replace him, which won’t be easy to get a good ‘out ball’ or ‘outlet’ player with our amateur scouting. All depends on our scouting and manager’ opinion then. Oh dear. Fingers crossed.

I have been saying privately for a while that Zaha would be gone at the end of the season, accordingly I have been pondering on possible replacements.

He would be far more suited to playing in a team which play more expansive football and I am sure he will enjoy that far more than playing for a team which adopts our tactics.
