I agree weak currency helps exports, that's logical but also means imports are more expensive, and the price you pay at the till goes up. That's more likely to have a direct impact on your life

Aren't you the person who is always trotting out the "how does that benefit British businesses" mantra?

Can you explain this then?

Have you also thought about how self sufficiency is also a Benifit and you being a super liberal must appreciate the carbon saving when we become more self sufficient.

We are in the current mess because of the Irish back stop. The EU will not remove the back stop because they do not want border controls. The ERG propose that these customs controls could be done electronically and away from the border (Max Facilitation) the EU rejected this idea as impractical.

Meanwhile the EU has announced that if there is a no deal Brexit customs controls will be done electronically and away from the border err.

Of course, who wouldn't? Why would you want anything to be bad for business? Actually don't answer that.

Rudi is making the point that, or at least I think, leaving the EU will be a benefit as will weaken our currency and will help our exports but I think our membership of the EU is not linked to that and surely having tariff free access to our biggest single market is better for our exports?

For instance 85% of the cars we manufacture are exported, 51% to the EU, which other countries are we going to supply cars to? Where are the new markets?

I've not knowingly bought anything German or French since the brexit vote, I'm now back in the UK for a few years and I have no intentions of purchasing a EU state produced car!

Are you really this simple? Please don’t answer. Or are you 9?

Do you not understand that exports GROW/EXPAND an economy because in simplistic terms the other countries are handing money over to us for the goods.

Or do you think Germany’s economy doesn’t matter to someone not in the export business?
