Comparing Wickham with Kane? Wow. Jesus Christ do you lot read anything or just jump to the first idiotic conclusion that jumps into your head. I said, given a run of games and remains injury free he could potentially be better or as good as Harry Kane, All the attributes are there, and there is no reason why he couldn't be.

I would be quite happy to receive £21.5m over the next three years for just polishing a bench with my bum Problem with that is a) It takes you up to age 29 with about 4 more years of football (erm, max earning) you've flushed own the toilet. b) Sometimes you don't sit around the whole time because of a) and because of boredom/frustration. You get loaned out or eventually take a move even less attractive than playing in front of a main stand built in 1924 and stand with 15 rows behind the goal. The best thing that a player can do when it's highly likely they will only play League Cup and Europa matches is to move on and see where it takes you. If CB moves onto Palace and in 18 months scores 25 league goals and many assists and has us in around 8th for most of the time, he may get another move to a top 6 club. (We can make a profit on him and be in a better position to attract quality) Problem is not many of them think like this but they'd do well to look at what happens to players who stay put. If I was CB I would like to think I would take this view, probably after realising that West Ham don't want me, partly because my wages of £120k per week or more are not worth it on recent form. It suits and makes sense for CB, LFC and for Palace for this deal to happen. Edited by Rudi Hedman (26 Jul 2016 11.23am)

Judging by past and present forum activity, Palace dream attack would be Christian Benteke and Ross McCormack - the combined number of comments?

If Wickham stayed fit for a whole season he would still not score half as many goals as Harry Kane. I like Wickham but he is miles away from Kane. Sorry mate but the only one talking like an idiot is yourself. Kane valued around £40-50m Wickham £7.5m says it all.

So says the football God Bubble Wrap, it's a good job players don't have your mentality, otherwise players like Yannick, Jedi, Murray, Speroni, to name but a few would all have retired by now as not good enough. You have no idea at all what Wickham could achieve, I think that in one or two games he showed what we could get if he gets match fit, I seem to remember him scoring 4 goals in two games last season, before he broke down again., and the header he scored against Watford in the semi final was one of the best headed goals of last season. Your opinion is no more educated than mine, the difference being I have faith in a player with all the right ticks in boxes to be a great prem striker for Palace, you do not. Pehaps we should have looked at Mario Götze, but sadly he has now gone to Dortmund...
