It appears it is not finalised yet, Comrade Khan has also to approve the plans.
Its going to take 2 years to build, so I wonder how the capacity during that time will be effected.
If it ever gets completed, it will be a fitting legacy to Steve Parish and CPFC 2010, who for all their fantastic work have still been roundly slagged off by some supporters over petty things.

not very much. this from the club:
The Club will then be able to begin planning for work on the New Stand to begin at the end of the 2018-19 season, with likely completion in 2021, ready to open for the 2021-2 season. The existing Main Stand will remain in full operational use throughout the build process, minimising the impact on the stadium capacity in the coming seasons.

pretty important we stay in the Premier League now, if you ask me.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

The Importent thing for all of us at Selhurst is the atmosphere and that is driven by the singing. The hub for this is driven by our amazing Ultras but is also driven by the Arthur.
Not many of you will remember before the Arthur Waite was the Park Road stand which generated all the noise. The season we got promoted to Division one I remember some bloke running on at kick off with a bottle of champagne for Cliff Jackson to have a swig from.
What is vital moving forward is that the hub of voices that occupy the Homesdale and the Arthur are not separated. We all need to decide where to be when the time comes.
Any thoughts?

I haven't looked back, but I thought when the design was first announced, it was said that it could (somehow??) be built whilst maintaining the current capacity.

As GPW says, there will be no real impact on the existing Main Stand. It's one of the reasons SP employed the architects - they did the same at Anfield by building behind, around & over the existing structure before integrating it all in the final phase.

I, for one, am really excited by this. Having seen the ground evolve slowly (and in some areas, badly) over the decades this really is a landmark moment for the club. Hopefully, SP's vision of keeping the atmosphere will work & we keep growing as a club.

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

A load of old twaddle. In actual fact my view of their excreta can be described as "Roughly spherical and there are a pair of them".

Let's pause for a moment's silence as we mourn the passing of those curs to post anything sensible.

The worrying thing (for them) is that they've actually started to believe their own BS.

"Palace don't always sell out in the PL and barely need 24k seats let alone 34k. They drop out of the Premier League and its bye bye to all the Liverpool, United, Chelsea and PL tourists who pad out their attendances. 10k fans in a 34k in the Championship won't look pretty."

So how come we have over 100% attendances then?

LOL

Didn't we average 16-18K last time we were down there? Not good, but certainly significantly more than 10k

That's one major hurdle passed, now I understand the next major challenge is getting Sainsbury's to sell us the necessary land and cooperate. That might be harder (or require more money) than getting planning permission going on what parish said at the end of last season.

We stay in the pl though, and we should be able to afford the gazillions Sainsbury's want for the requisite sliver of land.

You'd better believe it !

I had an interesting exchange with one of them for describing Palace as a '' piddling club with a s*** stadium ''

'' Piddling '' ? - well if you call 5 consecutive seasons in the PL piddling, then ok....as for the stadium, most of them were nowhere to be seen when they played at the Council athletics track, and they couldn't even sell that out !

Btw - some of them now discussing getting RLC on loan next season....
