Thank you.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

I don't think you understand what it's like to live somewhere where kids are ready to stab each other over their respective post codes.

You don’t need to experience everything to understand the implications. Indeed sometimes some detachment may provide the objectivity that’s needed which an emotional response can obscure.

You can make up as much 'detail' as you like. I don't believe you. It's just you virtue-signalling.

If I thought I could trust you, which I don’t, I would ask her to call you so you could confirm the details for yourself. Then check them with her employer! Suffice to say every I have told you is 100% true. Why on earth would it not be?

Perhaps rather than keep trying to criticise me, you could concentrate on the subject?

This is just stupid now. Basically if he had said “who is allah” and stood watching nothing would have happened; or would it? It isn’t right what is happening now and come the opening of parliament this whole s*** show will have to be pulled up. Next year the local elections will decimate labour one hopes. Many labour voters will be on the end of these new ‘laws’. Guaranteed before then though there will be a dosh giveaway to the feckless workshy and labours voting base. Christ I’ve even noticed it on this simple message board how reserved it now is as as the local plod are probably scouring every place they can for targets. Very scary times indeed.

We weren’t there to witness everything that happened but I doubt very much that he has been jailed for that long for just one statement!

It must have been for a sustained attack which threatened to result in serious disorder. Deterring others from such behaviour being the purpose of the punishment.

Expressing your ideas clearly and freely is not, and never will be, a problem. Inciting violence or making statements of hatred which risk causing others to break the peace, is a problem. It’s illegal.

It’s not what you say that on its own is the issue. It’s where, when and how that can become an issue.

Never voted labour, never will vote labour and I give them no credence but:
When 2TK stood up and ranted about punishment for the protesters who overstepped and for online punishments, he himself wasn’t expecting the harshness of the sentences. I mean he’s a lawyer himself and no where in history are there any precedents for some of the bird given for certain reasons.
What has happened is he’s instructed police to put the case and a set of judges to hand down the sentences. A bit like having a cat who keeps catching birds and rodents and bringing them home as a present. No matter how much you tell them to stop they keep doing it to please you.
Behind closed doors I would imagine a swathe of even his own MPs are concerned about the perception of labour and moreover the very people and families affected by the court results. Let alone the fear that has been driven into the public they are meant to serve, not control!
The first conviction and sentence set in motion an unstoppable wrong and I would not be surprised to see all sentences appealed and HMG and the establishment proved to have been over zealous. It only takes 1 or 2 to win appeals for the whole house of cards to come crashing down. There must be something in the offing as no one has asked for trial by jury which, and I stand to be corrected is a right still available in our system. Not sure about criteria but that in itself is strange.
2TK basically picked his words very badly and his instruction to the legal profession might well have been misinterpreted and that’s why we see what’s happening.
I just do not see any benefit to his or their standing and like climate change and the is it racist argument cancellation and jail sits greedily at the trap door for anyone to openly criticise what’s happening.

No PM instructs the judiciary!

Asking the CPS to proceed at speed is another matter but handing down sentences intended to warn others is nothing new.

It could be that some will appeal their sentences and succeed. More I would expect to be well qualified for early release as first time offenders. Once the deterrent effect has worked there will be little point in keeping them locked up.

As well as or instead of talking about the issues following the atrocity?

Oddly enough I think the sentences being handed down for trivial s*** are a long term bonus for the Right. Helps people wise up along with forcing us to start thinking smarter about how we can actively resist. Swearing and throwing stuff on the streets is ineffective.

We need to wise up and wise up quick. Adapt to this new world.

Just start by never spending a single penny without asking about who benefits? Stop giving funding to those you wish to be detached from. We can actually learn from Muslim communities especially in terms of how they operate. Their refusal to integrate is their collective strength. So perhaps now is time to follow suit?

Be pro your own rather than be defined by what you are anti.

You think the majority of the posts on this thread are about those issues? Like your last couple of posts?

And the pro-Palestinian protesters that have been inciting hatred against Jews, what of them?
