Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

I don't think you understand what it's like to live somewhere where kids are ready to stab each other over their respective post codes. You don’t need to experience everything to understand the implications. Indeed sometimes some detachment may provide the objectivity that’s needed which an emotional response can obscure.

If I thought I could trust you, which I don’t, I would ask her to call you so you could confirm the details for yourself. Then check them with her employer! Suffice to say every I have told you is 100% true. Why on earth would it not be? Perhaps rather than keep trying to criticise me, you could concentrate on the subject?

This is just stupid now. Basically if he had said “who is allah” and stood watching nothing would have happened; or would it? It isn’t right what is happening now and come the opening of parliament this whole s*** show will have to be pulled up. Next year the local elections will decimate labour one hopes. Many labour voters will be on the end of these new ‘laws’. Guaranteed before then though there will be a dosh giveaway to the feckless workshy and labours voting base. Christ I’ve even noticed it on this simple message board how reserved it now is as as the local plod are probably scouring every place they can for targets. Very scary times indeed. We weren’t there to witness everything that happened but I doubt very much that he has been jailed for that long for just one statement! It must have been for a sustained attack which threatened to result in serious disorder. Deterring others from such behaviour being the purpose of the punishment. Expressing your ideas clearly and freely is not, and never will be, a problem. Inciting violence or making statements of hatred which risk causing others to break the peace, is a problem. It’s illegal. It’s not what you say that on its own is the issue. It’s where, when and how that can become an issue.

Never voted labour, never will vote labour and I give them no credence but: No PM instructs the judiciary! Asking the CPS to proceed at speed is another matter but handing down sentences intended to warn others is nothing new. It could be that some will appeal their sentences and succeed. More I would expect to be well qualified for early release as first time offenders. Once the deterrent effect has worked there will be little point in keeping them locked up.

Oddly enough I think the sentences being handed down for trivial s*** are a long term bonus for the Right. Helps people wise up along with forcing us to start thinking smarter about how we can actively resist. Swearing and throwing stuff on the streets is ineffective. We need to wise up and wise up quick. Adapt to this new world. Just start by never spending a single penny without asking about who benefits? Stop giving funding to those you wish to be detached from. We can actually learn from Muslim communities especially in terms of how they operate. Their refusal to integrate is their collective strength. So perhaps now is time to follow suit? Be pro your own rather than be defined by what you are anti.
