So with the season starting next week, correct me if I’m wrong we have have signed 2 injured players no striker and look to start the season with the same team that scored 31 goals.

Sounds like a cunning plan Dougie

More of the same as the end of last season and Roy will be gone before we will have played 10 games. Up steps Dougie as the new caretaker manager.

Yep, at this stage that feels about right. And we’ve had loads of names banded around, been told we’re after ‘this striker’ or ‘that striker,’ ‘this defender’ or ‘that defender’ but the reality is we seem to take far too long to drag these transfers through compared to other clubs. We sound like we’re a massive pain in the arse to deal with and the Sorloth debacle tells you that we’re not very good at that side of it either.
For those that are ITK - and I don’t doubt you speak to people within the club - I do reckon you are being fed some duff info and being used to keep the fans quiet?
It ain’t rocket science. The priority is a striker. Has been for a few windows. The problem is, in my opinion, that the club feel s*** scared of spending a load of dough on a duffer (decent strikers are pricey), so are procrastinating themselves into oblivion every window.

If the recruitment team are unable to procure a striker again then someone needs sacking. It’s by far and away the biggest issue in our team, it’s glaringly obvious to everyone yet they cannot do anything about it. There’s still time but if we go into the season with just the addition of Eze, however good he is we have got a big problem.

My prediction is Tosun on loan although I believe I saw comments saying he wanted to return home to Turkey. Considering where we are now, I’d take that.

I don't recall the club telling anyone, who they are trying to sign. You have been told by flakey click bait sites and people guessing from so called ITK information.

Steve, isn't it about time that you started posting under your own name?

I looked at the starting line up from our opening game in 18/19 and it’s hardly changed. IN TWO SEASONS! I’m all for bringing in young players but they aren’t going to keep us up. If something doesn’t change in the next few weeks I fear we can kiss the Premier League goodbye.

Looks like Callum Wilson is going to the 'Toon'

We're we interested in him, probably not.

This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise.

The fact that we have yet to address the glaringly obvious weakness in our team over the past 3 seasons (or taken a chance on someone who went onto prove themselves elsewhere) is the most frustrating element of every window for us!
We all make the same observations about this player or that player “linked with us” but in the end nothing materialises. So frustrating when other clubs seem to quietly go about their transfer dealings without the issues that seem to prevent us from doing so.

The season is about to start and here we are STILL without a recognised goal scorer. Can we really afford to hobble along until the October deadline closes? What about the points we will have dropped in the meantime? It’s never been easy being a Palace fan (in a strange way that’s part of the fun) but this striker situation and our inability to remedy it is by far the most frustrating aspect that I can remember. Sort it out ffs!
