Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle I was expecting this with the style of football we now play. Firstly his form has been poor from the start of the season after a very good season last season but recently I’ve seen how unprofessional he is or is being. The complaining about fouls that only makes it worse, being wound up v Southampton and getting sent off and more recently not passing to teammates in good positions to whip crosses in around the defence. He’d rather try and take on 2 defenders and lose it than pass to PVA who’s in a position to play it first time between keeper and defence. This is unacceptable imo, especially how things are for us in matches with scoring. He’s been pretty poor all round this season or meh at best for various reasons down to Roy or Wilf and at some point this financially needs to happen I suspect or we’re facing the inevitable relegation without a chance to use money to avoid it. Based on this season I’ll be meh if he goes but if he went last summer I’d have been gutted. I think unless we change manager Zaha leaving is going to or should or has to happen. I’m not sure he’ll be able to deliver what a top 6 club wants. However, in Europe he might have a field day nearly every game though, but who and how much will we get?

Indeed. He may just believe that Palace will be playing in the Champions League. Perhaps. It seems a far removal from the quotes attributed to him a couple of weeks ago. And it's the Daily Fail.

It seems a far removal from the quotes attributed to him a couple of weeks ago. And it's the Daily Fail. What did he say a couple of weeks ago? ‘I love the team getting 3 attacks a game where we haven’t waited for them to be behind the ball so we don’t end up behind the ball if we lose it and maybe one effort for the team on goal or a penalty appeal, then a desperate last 10 minute onslaught on the opposition if we’re losing, unless we’re keeping it tight for a 1-0 loss.’ He must be frustrated, unless he’s willing to limit his career with us and for us to stay in the division until someone else comes in to buy us, because that’s where we are. Not even the sale of AWB is going to allow things to change that much.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle Just like I stated and got lynched for saying so not so long ago. Folks, think about it. You have extreme talent but are being directed to play roll over and no grease is ok football by a 70 something manager due to retire/be sacked in a year or 2. And btw, its the same ole dude who passed you over for an England pick when he was manager there. Now you are 26. What Roy has failed to do is inspire the team to play for an ideal that boosts their careers and image. At this point motivation is no longer driven by weekly wages or contractual sticks. Rather the carrot of a project of a dream and idealism. Like Leicester not so long ago. Or Burnley last year. We are going to lose Wilf this year. Sakho has already expressed his desire for European football. Wake up call for SP. Who I hold in high regard btw. But you cant keep top talent when you dont show direct actions to go beyond a mom and pop outfit that is constantly worrying about relegation and aiming at mid table mediocrity

This post has been merged from a topic called 'The Wilfried Zaha Thread' by Midlands Eagle This post has been merged from a topic called 'Zaha wants out' by Midlands Eagle Which of the top four clubs will pay upwards of £60 million for Wilf, Not City or Liverpool he doesn't fit into their style of play. Not Spurs or Arsenal. None of the German clubs will pay the asking price and he is not good enough for Barca or Madrid. Which leaves two possibilites, Chelsea in part exchange for Bats and some cash or United neither Chelsea of United may be playing in the CL next season.
