Big Military build up of Russian troops and Armour in the Belarussian city of Brest, almost certainly looking to roll south and cut supply lines feeding Kyiv, They might even try going for Lviv.

Not sure how well it will do as Russian logistics are a joke.

Still Russia shelling Lviv puts the war a 6 hour drive from my doorstep.

One stray missile landing in a nato country and its game over!

You know what? I have my doubts.
Nato could well be full of the same useless career focussed beautocratic chancers all our other institutions are full of.

The mountains are calling & I must go.

I doubt that. Nato will be able to determine mistakes from deliberate strikes.

Our intel seems to be really effective.

One thing is for sure - the media are loving this - so much misinformation, so much propaganda -if we have learnt anything from covid, it's to do your research and not trust what's on tv.

Agreed.

Whilst my sympathy is 100% with the Ukrainians I don't believe some of the stories the media are shamelessly pushing, as they say truth is the first casualty in war.

One more point

That very much depends on where you "do your research".

If it's in scientific journals that you are capable of truly understanding, then fine. Most of us can't. We need an expert or two that we trust to guide us though the mist.

If it's a dodgy self-opinionated, self-appointed pop up expert on YouTube making a video from his front room and asking for "donations" to help continue the "work", it's probably best to trust the MSM. At least their lawyers and editors check things first.

If you've read my posts here, you will know that actually I have been watching presentations by expert historians and faculty leaders of some of the world's most prestigious Universities on the background to all of this. I have posted links, which you can find if you want to. Alongside them, I have watched others by ex members of our security forces, including a past head of MI6. People who have spent significant time with Putin.

These presentations are delivered to their students, amongst whom will be future generations of world leaders. Whilst not intended for us, they are available online. They are objective and unemotional.

Having just has Covid I had the time to look for them and then to watch them. Much better than the day-to-day, reporting or the talking heads on YouTube.

So if you understand that there is indeed information out there, at our finger tips, why did you make it seem that the only options were...

1.
If it's in scientific journals that you are capable of truly understanding, then fine. Most of us can't. We need an expert or two that we trust to guide us though the mist.
2.
If it's a dodgy self-opinionated, self-appointed pop up expert on YouTube making a video from his front room and asking for "donations" to help continue the "work", it's probably best to trust the MSM. At least their lawyers and editors check things first.

I assume you just wanted to throw it in that most alternative views from the media are tin foil hat wearers...

You honestly don't think the majority of people can't do what you do?? Read info from prestigious universities, watch presentations by expert historians?

Is it only you??

So, tell me where I went wrong in saying that we need to also do our own research, not blindly trust the MSM!!!

Just seems very predantic of you and self serving - heck, you don't even know the context of my experience... asking for more information doesn't make you pro Putin.

In my defence what I wrote was:-

"That very much depends on where you "do your research".

So if you are, then well done. Join the club! Many on here though seem to use some highly dubious sources.

Drop some links - I am sure many would appreciate it.
