I don't want TR dead and I am not a racist. I did rather enjoy the idea - possibly apocryphal - that a 70 year old gave Stephen a pasting. He's always appeared a nasty bully from what I have seen so a comeuppance doesn't go amiss I enjoy the idea, 'possibly apocryphal' that you aren't a 'racist'.

What on earth has that got to do with my comment? Whether you are right wing, left wing or in the middle has nothing to do with a belief in an individual abiding by the law. Of course you can cherry pick from a party's policies. I suspect we all do that. What defines us is our overall approach. Which way, on balance, our affinity leans. I can just imagine you always sticking to the speed limit - a traffic jam behind you - keeping a close eye on your speedometer.

It has absolutely nothing to so with your post but everything to do with your thought process.

I can just imagine you always sticking to the speed limit - a traffic jam behind you - keeping a close eye on your speedometer. Strangely enough I am on a "speed awareness course" on Friday. I did not though ignore a court order and get sent to prison for doing so, and have a previously suspended sentence added. If I get caught again I will get a fine and points. We've all been there! Not everyone though has defied orders of the court!

It has absolutely nothing to so with your post but everything to do with your thought process. I did. Try reading my response again. Just because you might cherry pick a few policies means nothing about how you should define yourself. It's which way you lean on balance that does. So the answer is there. Maybe it's too difficult for you to understand that some questions don't have yes or no answers.

I have no idea what speed awareness classes entail. I'm thinking eighties publicly produced videos narrated by the guy from the Krypton Factor, accompanied by interviews with boy racers in wheelchairs.

I'm thinking eighties publicly produced videos narrated by the guy from the Krypton Factor, accompanied by interviews with boy racers in wheelchairs. It's offered to those who exceed the limit, by a little, as an alternative to a fine and points. Do it again within 3 years and that's it. No second chances. This is the second time for me. It lasts 3 hours, costs as much as the fine, and is a lecture by driving school instructor types on the meaning of road signs etc. Best to sit at the back, don't involve yourself and just wish the time away.

That's fine. I realise your opinion. Perhaps there is a grain of truth in it. In my opinion, the more peodos outed and confronted, hopefully even fearful for their lives - the better. I understand your argument but I don't agree with it. "Robinson" has deliberately flouted and challenged the law. He has invited what has happened to him, despite being given s suspended sentence. That you believe that others deserve imprisonment more than he does because of more serious crimes may, or may not be true, but doing what he did cannot be ignored and the only course open to the Judge who found him guilty was to send him to prison. You simply cannot warn someone that is what will happen the next time and then just let them off, or warn them again, when they do it. It isn't just for "Robinson" that that principle is important. It is for everyone to know that if you flout the law you get punished.

Mine was quite simple. As I told you it doesn't have a yes or no answer! It depends what the thing is. You could agree with him that bake beans are healthier than peas and that has no bearing on it. If you both agreed that that Asians are inferior to Europeans then probably.
