What? Are you five? And sorry, is it still 2001? Ah no, it's not. Do our food standards represent a blend of directives from us and from the EU? Yes they do. Are all the British ones good and the EU ones bad? No they're not. Are you still spooning out inaccurate partisan tripe (I thank you)? Yes you are. Now back to your cookie dough, pissy beer and mouthfuls of hormonal hotdog with lightly chlorinated slaw. Seems to be doing the job.

Who is stronger on the NHS Labour or Tory? Stronger? the answer here is neither when we are bringing in 250,000 net new people per year (more if you take into account significant numbers leaving the country) you simply cannot keep up and cannot keep taxing people to support a bloated NHS and social security system. I may be missing the point you want to highlight but what makes you think that 250,000 newcomer is a direct extra work for NHS assuming majority of them are taxpayers? On top of this, Tier 2 visa holders need to pay extra £400 per year per person for NHS. This means a `family of 3` pays £6000 for 5 year visa which sounds fair probably to avoid any short-term complication for services. There is average 25,000 main application approved which means nearly 60-70000 of newcomer is under Tier 2. It is for sure a fact that there was a flooding to some certain areas due to free movement in EU which had blocks in services. But assuming that `forecasting this impact` was not a rocket science, not sure how goverments can not be liable of this outcome? As 250,000 newcomer is output of their previous policies, they are supposed to find a solution proactively to address future complications. Edited by blackheatheagle (21 Mar 2019 11.51am)

Edited by blackheatheagle (21 Mar 2019 11.51am) First of all the cost of the NHS averages £2,200 per person per year which kind of blows that argument out of the water. I would counter "assuming majority of them are taxpayers" with a much fairer assumption that a significant number will be non taxpayers and therefore tax consumers as such. "250,000 newcomer is output of their previous policies" - yes but nobody voted for this and nobody can tell us why when the government state that they want to reduce this to "tens of thousands" it just isn't happening and you know a Labour government would just make this worse. Even worse than this just raising the question immediately exposes you to accusations of racism and you are shut down from all sides. It just has to stop.
