I was kinda hoping that seen as how Wilf is a dead cert to leave in the summer we would be looking to get a replacement for him now rather than later and integrate him into the squad and give him playing time or use him as a sub for Wilf . Im beginning to think its not the Palace way . My feeling is that they will use Edouard on the left wing.

Couple of players that have been linked with other clubs and could fit the profile: Dango Ouattara at Lorient - 20yr old forward, a bit Wilf like. 2nd senior season has 5 goals and 5 assists. Could be worth moving for a Wilf replacement early. Or getting this guy in so Wilf can play up top. Forrest apparently after Danilo, a DM from Palmeiras. Only 21 but with bag of experience. Looks tenacious in the tackle and can pick a pass.

My feeling is that they will use Edouard on the left wing. That seems likely with him coming inside and playing off Eze.

We seem to be the only club that is not strongly linked to any signings. This is going to be a miserable window once again.

I've liked Elanga when I've seen him play for United. Very quick and seems to work hard. Now out of favour so he could be available on loan, with there even being talk of him being available for around £18m. Could possibly take Wilf's place on the left if/when he leaves.

It is early days, but why the surprise at the lack of news etc ?? Better surely that if anything is happening behind the scenes, however unlikely, that it is not shouted from on high !

in the 'Greed is good' League and all its attendant riches we will probably get outspent by Brentford and Bournemouth. Every team that wishes to stay in the Premier League has to spend money and whilst we don't need to spend as much as Bournemouth we do need to buy or loan a decent central midfield player and Parish who claims to know a bit about football must see that

I should have thought that all of our Premiership managers said that they wanted strengthening in transfer windows but actions speak louder than words and our esteemed owner currently appears to feel that a ‘couple of loans’ are needed. Somewhat less than what is needed in reality.

Furthermore, Parish is keen to see the Academy producing 1st team players ASAP and the pressure may well be put on PV and his team to give proper chances next season to one or more of the likes of Gordon, Ozoh, Balmer, Adamarola, Phillips and Rak-Sakyi. Financially, I suspect Parish's focus is on money for the New Stand.
