A clown world indeed. Just because you say it, doesn't make it true. Just because you believe it, doesn't make it true. Just because you appear happy to be deranged, doesn't excuse your extremist postings. My son is a police officer (and Palace season ticket holder) and your depiction of him and apparently all serving officers, is offensive. But.......that's why you say these things. It's for the attention. Your user name gives the game away. Anyone that ends their name with "says" is either arrogant or attention seeking or probably both. I use HOL to feed my Palace addiction. You use it in a sad attempt to try and be noticed and be "someone". You usually stick to News and Politics section where there are some others like you. I know I shouldn't bite because it's what you want. But if people don't call you out, it may be assumed that all HOL members share your extremist views. You must lead a really sad and unfulfilling real life to be so desperate to be noticed on a Palace fans forum. Particularly, when you rarely seem to post about Palace or football. I don't know if you have an employer but I bet they would not want to be associated with your views. Why don't you tell us who they are and if they filter out people that you consider to be undesirables? I support Wilf and his views. I have been in favour of taking a knee but can see that the gesture is now losing it's impact. Hopefully Wilf's stance will be part of moving the fight against racism forward in a collaborative way. There is clearly still work to be done!

You do understand that other people are still entitled to opinions even in 2021(1984), while some want to deprive us of that right.

However, I'm happy to defend my worldview with anyone and if their arguments appear better alter my perspective. You haven't chosen to contest anything but just go for the ad hominem....that's fine, but please don't talk about truth when you're not interested in debating it. As for 'extremism', be specific as to what makes me an 'extremist' in your view. Originally posted by Plumpton eagle

I'm someone who supported the Police service most of my adult life, however I regard the modern day Police service...well, its management definitely as anti conservative and a force that doesn't represent me and looks to persecute nationalists like me. As for my username, perhaps you are reading a little too much into a name in your effort to demonise. However, arrogance is perhaps one of my flaws. Originally posted by Plumpton eagle

I've been on Hol since 2009....you know I often see this 'you don't post about football' argument used as some kind of attack. Well, while the politics has been my main area I have of course posted countless times on football matters. It's true that it's not as much these last couple of years. As I will admit to a drifting away from football due to decision to be far more political.....However, the club of my upbringing has a geographical and family connection so if you don't mind when you start referring to topics you haven't a clue on...like my football loyalties kindly take a run and jump. Putting forward views that others have issues with is one thing....However when you threaten people's livelihood because you don't agree with them politically you breach a whole new level.

Originally posted by Hrolf The Ganger I was totally unaware of any significant racism related to football since the '80s other than the usual knuckleheads at Millwall, the usual Sectarian stuff in Scotland and the occasional visit to an Eastern European county where most have rarely seen a Black man.Where was this big problem before the media and Sky in particular, started their ridiculous campaign?
My own, personal accounts of it, my dad's personal accounts of it (both dating up until 2014, where I stopped going to Selhurst regularly, unrelated), countless documentaries highlighting it, the news, Google. We could argue about the extent of racism before the current campaign, but the more important question is whether you think any of this stuff helps the plight of the Black man? I'd say the exact opposite. As John Barnes suggests, it is all much more about political ambition and self interest than ending racial discrimination.

Edited by madcap_v2 (20 Feb 2021 12.05pm) I was bullied by a black kid for 2years at school, he beat me with sticks and took my money. 2 years of sheer hell and not wanting to go. Could've been racist as I'm white, what do you think? I have had experience of blacks first hand. Should I label all of you as bullies or give everyone a fair chance to prove they're not a dick.

That is truly terrible, as are more recent experiences of racism too. People saying 'it was at a non existent level' really means they were unbothered by it or hadn't noticed, so it's valid and useful for someone to tell of their experiences. You should've had a voice back then as should people on the receiving end now.

I was bullied by white kids and was called names based on the colour of my skin, but that was the easy ammo presented to them. What a weird reply... I haven't labelled all white people as anything, simply stating that racism exists, and has done in football for as long as I can remember. It isn't something just conjured up by Sky Sports.
