It's ridiculous how quickly the odds are changing. I put a bit on Jokanovic. Not because I think he'll get it or because I want him to, just because at 12-1 he's got more of a chance than the others they were touting at that price (Ranieri, Tuchel, Wagner).
...we must expand...get more pupils...so that the knowledge will spread... |

Sky Sports Yes, only Sky speculation, granted, but they usually only go with verified sources. I said 'if' Parish is keen on Pellegrino he should act quickly - which i stand by. The speed in which Silva was snapped up and the paucity of other credible candidates (IMO) means he should get his skates on if he thinks he has the right man. That Sky report was yesterday's news and had more holes than a J cloth in it. The Parish radio interview in the States was far more informative and didn't seem to suggest a foreign appointment. The implication was there won't be a huge transfer kitty to expand the squad, the Beast might join but will be tough. Still think we will go British.

Would rather take a risk with this guy than appoint some of the other names in the frame. Yes it is a risk but sometimes you have to speculate to accumulate. Even more of a bonus if he keeps Sammy Lee who for me was the driving force behind our survival. Agreed.it's a no brainer the guy knows Sammy Lee from his Liverpool days and he speaks English. For me this is the best manager we have been linked with. He set up an Alaves team that beat Barcelona at the Nou camp. Would much rather this guy than Monk, Dyche and also no compensation to pay. We should send a team to Argentina and get the deal done as he is in demand.

Pellegrino? Not a fan of sparkling water, to be honest.

I doubt whether Pellegrino will sign on the dotted line without sounding out what other options might be open to him as he would be daft to do so Maybe but I'd save the dithering or weighing up all options after interviewing any in hot demand. If Silva or Pelligrino were/are outstanding then Parish may know all there is to know to make either the offer. What is the point in having loads of candidates ready to interview together when your top choice is available now? May as well get the bl00dy interview done and if you're not sure, then you wait to make your decision. Don't make the interview wait because there may not be one. Parish has done many of these now so it's likely he'll get a gut feeling without needing to interview Mr average or Mr below average X 5. Edited by Rudi Hedman (01 Jun 2017 1.35pm)
