Theres a couple of points here.
Firstly, I respect your opinion.
Theres a few Palace players I'm not keen on and have criticised but the crucial difference is I would never stoop to the level of subjecting them to the blatant level of non constructive personal abuse that you have, which has been going on for many months now.

I imagine in this internet era that Palace players read these forums, its one thing to criticise or to make a joke, and also that's not to say we shouldn't give them a rocket up their backside every now and then, but I believe you've taken it too far, too often, on an incessant level.

The second point is this, if Speroni or another goal keeper came in and put in some great performances, kept a few clean sheets, and pushed Wayne out of the team, I would back them. I would change my opinion.

But in your case, you've always got an excuse and can never praise Wayne when he's played well.
When our defence has been playing well, you've used that to counter those who've given Wayne credit for keeping clean sheets. But when our defence is playing badly, you claim it is Wayne's fault. It cant work both ways.
Mandanda came in and put in some very questionable performances but you wouldn't criticise him.

It leads me to believe that whatever Wayne does or however he plays, you will never change your opinion, or give him credit.

Noone here is trying to claim hes the best keeper ever. We just say what is backed up by the stats and what has been observed by the last few managers. Hes a decent premier league keeper, not one of the best, but not the worst. Yes, theres better out there, but its difficult to find significantly better who we could afford and who would come to us.

In short, he's a Palace player and he doesn't deserve the level of abuse you give him, and it doesn't sit right with me to hear that level of abuse.

WAY too much bitterness among our fans here. Hennessey clearly divides opinion. That 'healthy debate' is now lost after 150 pages surely means just one thing... We are never all going to agree, so why keep arguing?!

Most think Hennessey needs replacing.
Most of those think Speroni is a better option.
Everyone agrees that we are in desperate need of an upgrade on both.

When did he last play well?
The team has loads of problems at the moment, but the one thing that has been consistent for ages is that He is a poor goalkeeper, in decision making, having zero bottle and diving too late.i come away from games , even if he hasn't thrown one in, which to be honest he hasn't for a while, thinking 'he could/should have done better with that'. This is nearly every week. Agree the defence , full backs mainly are f*cking s*it, but it works both ways. The keeper should gain confidence from the defence and the defence should respect the keeper.
He's not good enough in any department of goalkeeping, is my opinion, even if we are relegated , he needs replacing.
