I agree with this [Link] that Spurs need a striker more than they need Eze and I think that's where their money will go. Levy might try a cheeky lowball offer, but any serious money will probably go on someone like Toney or Solanke. Were they to sell Richarlison that might change, but I still think Eze will be with us at least for one more season.

Both Manc clubs offered us the chance to sell them Olise next year so we kept him for one more season so maybe Citeh have enquired about Eze and agreed with Palace to do it next summer.

He's under contract. No release clause, no leave. If we sell him, then we might as well put a big sign up saying don't sign for us because we have no ambition whatsoever. Rubbish. If a Hugely succesful club like City made their intentions known that they want him and are prepared to meet our valuation and the player wants to leave it is very naive to think Palace could wave his current contract in his face and say you're going nowhere. Keeping a player against his will means you miss out twice. You miss out on the best version of that player (because he's sulking) and you miss out on the money. Then you get a lower offer when he finally leaves because his contract has run down and his performances have been less than his usual standard.

He might get 5 minutes time on the pitch every season. True. He might also play more minutes than any other outfield player. Either scenario could happen

I know what you are saying, but Eze is a strange fish, the massive church influence in his life, Money and Fame might not be his God, If i were him i would wait until Real Madrid, Barcelona or even better PSG, like a Sunday league with a few Champions league games

Sorry, I didn't read where you wrote that. Must admit that whilst I don't agree with all Lanzo's views, I well remember him making claims that Ebs was going to show himself to be probably the best player Palace have ever had - don't remember exact quotes but do remember being sceptical and subsequently realising that he had spotted a fantastic talent very early on. Still for my money Olise and Wilf edge Ebs as Palace's best ever in my time (and I do have a long memory back to mid 70's)

Putting aside Palace's interests for a moment, I believe Man City would be a bad move for Ebs. Maybe not a maverick off the pitch, but I would certainly describe him as a maverick on it. And despite the disparaging comments about Grealish, I think he is a fantastic talent and certainly a maverick. The joy of football seems to have been drummed out of him by Pep's methods, maybe for a time making him quite effective, but where is he now ? Not getting game time for City and not even making it onto the plane for England's Euros squad. Don't think Ebs would fare any better under Pep. This is bang on. City under Pep is the WORST place a player like Eze could go. All the creativity will be coached out of him. He needs freedom. Spurs under Ange would be a far better move I reckon. He'd flourish there.
