I think if it is a way of getting a better overall return for Olise than just cash then this might be the sort of avenue to pursue, if possible. Madueke is clearly a better option than the Sterling idea at 15% of his wages, He nailed down the right-wing position at the end of the season but seems a bit petulant (he was involved in that penalty fracas). Add in Broja and a bit of cash and it might look more enticing than a straight cash offer. I have no real idea but I just get the feeling that Madueke wouldn't want to come here. Broja possibly - but he seems to be more potential than fully ready. I reckon Madueke is a good player already and would think he must be highly rated. Not sure he's as good as Olise but wouldn't know his entire career or injury history. He looked fast and strong against us recently enough. Can't remember if he scored but I get the feeling he did.

I cannot stomach the thought of him going to that scummy club.

They must be in breach of the financial rules so how can they even do it? Edited by The Dolphin (15 Jun 2024 10.33pm)

This pi55e5 me off. I fear it's going to get worse.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

I hope this means he's eligible to play for England once the change of allegiance paperwork is sorted! But might take a while?

2. Apparently, Chelsea and 3 other clubs have approached Palace regarding Olise. 3. It also appears that only Olise can trigger the release clause in his contract. Clubs can meet the financial and other requirements of the release clause but Olise will decide which of the clubs, if any, he wants to go to. 4. There is no reason (that I can see) why Olise can't agree personal terms with as many of his suitors as he chooses to. It doesn't mean he has to go to any of them. 5. I hope and suspect we'll have a clearer picture of this transfer saga by the time Olise joins the Olympic squad. Edited by doombear (16 Jun 2024 9.53am)

Absolutely, it’s all rubbish. That’s what they said as well last year. The big clubs are running scared of Palace and are intent to disrupt us at all costs. Plus none of them under the current rules have much money.
