Roy collapses at training on Thursday and taken to hospital with no details of the illness. This is the second time to our knowledge that this has happened (Pre Villa away game). He is 76 and 10 years past the official retirement age and working in a highly pressurised environment especially now with the position we are in. Don’t you think on a personal basis he would have made the decision to call it a day. State it’s on medical grounds and ride off into the sunset with his pride intact. If he doesn’t do this it will cause an even bigger state of limbo with the club then having to make a decision as difficult as it may be. Time to move on.

Was that really him at the Spurs game yesterday? Wonder what he thought of that? A bit scruffy compared with Selhurst Park according to Mr Parish.
Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled. |

Given everything that's been going on the best outcome would be a heroic victory with Roy at least fit enough to get to the game, the away support sing his name, he goes out in the best way we could hope for in the circumstances and then on Tuesday he steps down in a dignified way and Glasner steps in (also in a less precarious position). Just for once it would be great if we did get a best case scenario! Apparently Glasner is going to be at Goodison Park with Parish. I would therefore be very surprised if Roy was anywhere near the place. For everyone's sake, Roy should be at home resting up focusing on HIS health. For him now, who cares what happens on Monday night. Its over. Monday night should not be some sort of romantic end to Roy's career. It should be about us securing our position. This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

This is the opportunity for Roy to (quickly) quit and retire due to ill health and leave his last role with his pride. Trying to save his job by bringing on Olise when the game was lost backfired and has caused the club huge problems for the rest of the season. Ifhe is truly a Palace fan it is now time to think of the club and go. Apparently Glasner is going to be at Goodison Park with Parish. One would have thought that a medical professional will tell Roy it's time to call it a day, no ifs or buts.

Was looking into Glasner's tactics. He's been using a 3-4-2-1 formation with the width provided by wing backs. I guess I'm saying it's relatively interesting that we got Munoz when we did. Then again, we've needed a right back for ages.
