We just got stuffed by a better side, playing better football, with a better manager, A Better chairman and who have a better ground that came up season after us. There’s nothing else to say, we just need to take this up arse as it’s what we deserve. while i would agree with most of your sentiments, personally i would choose a different metaphor. The premier league clubs travel like the EuroStar......and we are like Borat sitting in the backseat of a car.......horse-drawn.

Strangely nobody accused of bed wetting on this thread. Funny that.
I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything. |

I don’t want to sound ageist…. You see younger managers shouting out instructions from the side of the pitch, motivating players, organising etc… Then you see Roy, stands for 10 mins, sits for 10 mins - hands in his pockets! I know Ray Lewington is the shouter - but come on Roy, lead the team by example, motivate…etc… Got to go ….before it really is too late

Definitely an issue with Sam Johnson. Better keeper than Henderson yet it seems like he's being squeezed out, apparently. Bizarre. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but it makes you wonder.

This set of players aren't as bad as Hodgson has made them. It was the same with the national side, the cream of the crop, good players for their respective clubs, reduced to clueless numpties by Hodgson and Lewington's predictable negative tactics.

Pat viera was sacked for a lot lot less. If Roy is still in the Job on Monday I can only assume that we have someone lined up to take over in the summer. Maybe the timeline needs to be pushed up?

If Parish had any balls he would have sacked Roy by now. But after todays thrashing by Brighton he MUST sack Roy asap. Not only does there appear to be a lack of game plan (and no Plan B when things go wrong) but Team selection was yet again a disaster, ie Henderson rather than Johnstone. Why oh why did we waste £20 million on a goal keeper not nearly as good as Johnstone, especially with more urgent positions to fill? Why potentially upset a current England keeper by paying £100,000 per week to an inferior and possibly injury prone keeper? Yet again Henderson could be blamed for some of today's goals. But the crowning moment today which showed that Roy has lost it, was bringing on Olise when the game was already lost at 3-0. Our best player, but potentially already unfit/injured lasted just 10 minutes before going off injured. He needed to fully recover for the 6 pointers against Everton, Luton, & Burnley. My vote is for POTTER as our new manager.

The Squad is good enough, the manager isn't, out now I will do my best not to say anything derogatory about anybody who argues against this as they may have some valid points however I do not look at our team and think 'relegation fodder' by any stretch. Yes Olise/Eze are going to be massive losses for us but I honestly feel as though the manager makes us less than the sum of our parts, far less actually. We gave it a go for about 10mins following Mateta's goal yesterday and that seemed to be a little lift the players got from it where they only partially abandoned Roy's philosophy/instructions. Letting them manage themselves seems a better option at this stage. It's not about being spoilt, demanding a better quality of football, delusions, bed wetting or else. It's about wanting to see a sufficient team compete at the level it certainly can. It's a sport, that's the whole point.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

I'll just add this quote from Roy I've pulled form the BBC: "Fans will have come here with high hopes. Unfortunately at the moment, especially given the situation we find ourselves in, not even being able to field a team a bit more capable of doing that, you have to accept it isn't always going to work out that way." Firstly, what does he mean 'high hopes'? Did we expect Palace to romp to victory away at BHA? No. That our established PL team with multiple internationals etc might compete against our biggest rivals? Yes. And of course we didn't see that. Secondly, get to f**k Roy. You can't keep coming out and saying 'we're sh!t and the fans are unhappy because they delusionally expect us to win every game'. It's f**king insulting to us and the players. Absolute mug.

And if we can’t get a tune out of the 23 remaining players in the squad we are in deep deep trouble. Roy is in denial again in his post match comments, they are ground hog day after Arsenal - what do you expect when we don’t have our best players available. Missing the point yet again.
