Based on what?

You know, I make jokes about party loyal supporters voting for a pig with a blue rosette or a flat cap sporting a red one, but...

I have provided a response and have nothing further to add.

I have enough discussions about such matters outside of HOL with fellow activists, in addition to prominent members of the party !

There have been certain boundary changes in Somerset but I have no information as to whether this has affected his seat of North Somerset. This has not been fertile territory for Lib Dems over the years and in the last General Election they trailed in 3rd behind Labour.

My village was previously in the North Somerset constituency however we've been folded into 'Wells and the Mendip Hills' for the next GE.

Already been canvassed by the local Lib Dem hopeful trying to win back the seat from James Heappey.

Seems like they're hopeful to hoover up a lot of the South West but I can imagine Ed Davey's involvement in the post office scandal could dent their chances.

I have an old chum who has been moved out of Jacob Rees-Mogg's constituency to Frome & East Somerset.

When in active discussion on any political topic with people who look like you, share your beliefs, are paid up members of the same party, and who have had an unswerving voting pattern for decades, do you find there to be a general consensus of opinion?

The Conservative Party is a "Broad church" and of course there are a plethora of opinions on an array of subject matters.
There are the 'Spartans/ERG' types and the 'One Nation' Conservatives and some in between.

I am on the 'Right wing' of the party and many with whom I engage in discussion have similar viewpoints.

For someone who purports to be "campaigning for the party" and trying to "persuade the great and good to support the Conservatives", you seem very hesitant to actually engage in any sort of discussion which might achieve just that.

Very odd.

Yes,this Government has made big mistakes including Boris's constant lies. But he has thankfully walked away.
People have unbelievably short memories and anyone thinking things will improve under Labour with clueless Mr.Flip flop in charge,Starmer, will be in for one hell of a shock.

What is that based on? What metrics have improved under this government compared with when they took power?

No soundbites please, actual metrics.

Rest assured I have been a member of the Conservative Party for as long as I can recall and have campaigned in election after election both locally and at a General Election.I have been on the committees of local associations and a member of CPFs.I have attended 'Conference'.

My 'Raison D'etre' for joining HOL was to partake in discussions about our club or football in general and I concentrate my efforts in this direction.
I very rarely make contributions on the political 'Threads' as I happen to spend significant amounts of energy away from HOL on matters concerning my party and other matters filed under 'Politics'.

CPFC and football is my focus on his esteemed site but sometimes of course I do stray into other debates. In terms of 'Politics' my contributions are somewhat fleeting and limited.

Apparently, Corbyn is going to form another Party to stand in the General Election. Good for him - there will now be another choice in addition to Reform, instead of the dreadful Tory/Labour duo.

You not considering Lib Dems then?

I loathe the Lib Dems more than any other party.
