I think even Roy is resigned to seeing him go.

Edited by Midlands Eagle (14 Aug 2023 5.54am) To quote my nephew - "Stop giving players nicknames like they're your mates" I used to be with ‘it’, but then they changed what ‘it’ was. Now what I’m with isn’t ‘it’ anymore and what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

If there is no release clause we should only sell for silly money as he is naturally gifted, has end product, is only 21 and qualifies as a homegrown player. Outside of Saka is there a comparable player in the PL? If we sell him for 40m that sets a dangerous precedent that our best players can be got for peanuts (by today's insane prices). I don't see him fitting in at Chelsea after watching them yesterday, but I could definitely see him fitting like a glove at City. But they have Foden and Silva who would probably start ahead of him wide right and those two are exceptional. If he gets fit and continues his form from the end of last season then clubs won't be knocking on the door they'll be bringing a cash-shaped battering ram.

Roy's patter makes it sounds like there is one. That we are powerless to let him leave Agree re City. He wont play every game, but would feel like a better fit

I wonder how much truth is in these reports, Attachment: Screenshot (169).png (80.29Kb)
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

Article below suggests a sale price of £45m,far more realistic and questions whether the £35m release clause was ever in place or even removed.

Seems £45m is now the new number as this click-bait shows . . . [Link] Thing that gets me about all of this saga, is that hardly anyone of these articles mentions the fact that he's injured &, if reports are to be believed, won't be back till end of Oct/beginning of Nov. Chelsea have been reported as wanting him to cover for the injured Nkunku, who himself is reported to be out till Nov. Click-bait are now saying that 'Personnel Terms' have not been agreed. Christ knows whats going on.
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |
