Not as headline grabbing as some of the links just above me but potentially far more indicative of how much of a sea-change is going on. Blackrock are literally the global corporate baddies. Fingers in so many pies that you have probably had to enure at least one or two of them in almost anything you buy or use over the course of your day. This ESG stuff is why so many supposedly smart people running some of the most successful businesses in the world have been doing so many dumb things.

Woke....putting stupid school-leavers into American Universities ahead of genius Chinese school leavers. Just to tick the quota of some veggie commie fascist. Imagine if Premier league teams had a gender quota, a colour quota or a gay quota ? Sorry Messi....you cannot sign for us, too white and we already have 4 straight white fellas on the team. Some of the choice of words betrays the fact that the BBC person has written this while gritting 'their' teeth. For example why say that JK Rowling has "courted controversy"? No she hasn't; she's stated biological facts which deluded people have decreed are controversial; facts which this tribunal has agreed are NOT controversial. Edited by YT (01 Jul 2023 8.06pm)

As it's Gay Pride day. I'd just like to say I'm defined by my sexuality, and being a man (who identifies as a man), I'd just like to say I'd take particular pleasure in partaking of any spare v*****'s that might be out there. Tits also welcome. I might go to work on Monday with a "hungry for gash" lapel badge, just to let everyone know I'm hetro, OK ? Get over yourself, I'm coming out as Hetro.
