Let's hope they're all as good as Edouard eh ?

If Roy is taken on even temporarily that will be the last of my money Palace see until he is gone. The last year and a half of his tenure with us and then the brief stint at Watford tells you all you need to know. He is a dinosaur in modern day football and his tactics are as old as some of his post match cliche comments.

It’s a resounding no from me.

I agree with you. As much as I supported him when he was here, I firmly believe his managerial days are over. We don't want more negative, out of date tactics. We need fire and brimstone!

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Whether you agree about his sacking or not, the sands of time were running out and if it had to happen then now is the best time.

The new appointee will need time to gauge the strengths and weaknesses of the squad.

Whoever it is will surely recognise the talent of the team and work out the formation best suited to this talent.

Vieira's apparent lack of motivation and his seeming inability to find a solution to the lack of goals has cost him.

One person who will stand or fall by this decision is Steve Parish and the buck stops with him.

No word of a lie. I actually preferred his football to this seasons. We are currently abysmal. At least we had some form of hope under Roy.

Of course he's not. Burnley will be in the Premier League next season.

Our Board is doing everything it can to ensure we are not.

The football in the last years of Roy was so depressing that for the first time in my life I started feeling less passionately about the club. The Watford experience shows what might happen if he returns. Vieira always came across as an intelligent man, although we will never all agree on his team selections. Nor will we agree on whether the results would have improved once we start playing the lesser teams. My view is that they would. It is sad that our fate might ultimately be decided by the fact that our strikers have failed so dismally.

I think Freedman should be ordered to the touchline from the office, not on a permanent basis, but for the next few games to manage. He knows the team perfectly. I think its a shame Steve didn't give Patrick the Arsenal game.

Surely not Roy!. I was a huge supporter of his when most folk on here were putting the knife in, but he has had his time.

We need fresh ideas and a strong personality who can read the riot act to namby-pampy footballers.

But please not Lampard or Gerrard, their past experiences are less than encouraging. Personally I like the idea of Shaun Derry coming in for the rest of the season at least.

If we are going stop gap then he might be in with a shout but think it would be more likely an internal appointment in Paddy and Dougie etc. If we are looking for a longer appointment then obviously they must be willing to manage in the Championship should we be relegated. Think this would preclude most of the choices touted here. Personally think we could be looking at the former than the latter. Knows the players we have to get us out of this mess and time is not on our side. Whoever comes in, let's hope they can get a tune out of the squad, particularly in attack.

I suspect no female manager would be the least bit interested in being shafted by a male player.
Apologies for any sexist/homophobic connotations but I really am rather peed off today
