I understand the criticism labelled at Eduoard and Mateta but with the lack of creativity in the team, Kane would struggle to score goals for our club. Our "Flair" players Zaha and Eze have been disappointing and ineffective and yesterday with Olise not starting we had no attacking threat whatsoever down our right flank.Dan Burn must have been delighted when he saw our line-up. There was positivity amongst our supporters with our change of style following the end of the Hodgson era but alas we have gone backwards and there is precious little to be excited above when we watch our beloved team. Agreed….fair comment and perspective of the game

I concur. No creativity at all - we have only scored 6 goals in our last 10 games in all competitions and we have not scored in 6 of those matches. Until Vieira decides who he wants and where he wants to play them we are going to continue struggling, all our attacking players have no actual game time experience or understanding with the players around them.

Frankly they should have had 3 or 4 if they had finished competently. Lucky for us they didn't. We were badly exposed on both flanks, our FB's didn't get much help from midfielders until the subs came on after which we looked a little more stable. I blame that on the starting lineup.

Yep we really nicked one there. Vieira can count himself very lucky. If Newcastle fail to make top 4 by a point or two, they will rue their games against us

On account of the fact that we gained a draw from this game, the criticism of our performance has been muted to a degree.Had Newcastle taken their chances and we had succumbed to a defeat there would have been vesuvian eruptions on HOL. Our performance left a great deal to be desired and from the Palace supporters standpoint there was precious little to get excited about. Edited by Willo (22 Jan 2023 10.04pm)

I had to laugh at an article in The Mag allegedly written by a 14 year old girl on her first away trip. The real gem was "Once the game had commenced was when the cold really started to kick in. I didn’t know if my nose was burning from the cold chills of the weather, or the stench of Lynx Africa that I can only guess the majority of the people around me were wearing." Other comments included "I will say, for Crystal Palace to be at their home ground, the fans were not loud. In my opinion, if you are the fans at home, show the visitors that they are visiting you. Don’t let them drown you out, because that’s what Newcastle did, drown Crystal Palace out by a long shot." A very cleverly written article guaranteed to get up the noses of Palace fans

Also, it's a bit weird to read an alleged Geordie moaning about the cold weather in South East London.
