Not that insightful from a Palace fan perspective. He doesn't like to be called an investor

Actually I will modify that. It has some interesting details. The article points out that a US investment group Ares has two board seats on Eagle Football, the vehicle for Textor's 40% stake in Palace (and other assets). Jamie Dinan, the wealthy founder of a New York Hedge fund York Capital, also has a seat on Eagle alongside Anthony Knaster, another money man. We are basically ultimate FC Wall Street with Parish clinging on by his fingertips.

And he wants access to hedge fund £ to buy new players and fund the new stand etc. once the new stand is built, we might see Parish bowing out. He's been in charge at Palace a long time now, and it's very stressful, I'm sure. He will probably want to leave a management structure in place he's happy with. But after he's gone, everything could change very quickly. Challenging times!

He will have to leave a management structure in place that the majority shareholders are happy with as it is them that will have to work with the new management. I would suggest a new CEO / Chairman to run the company and financial and admin sides plus a Director of Football to head up the footballing side and the latter could well be Dougie

I have predicted that Parish will leave after the new stand is completed. That will be his perceived legacy. He has done very well for this club, whatever mistakes he might have made, and I hope his final act will be to ensure that the club ends up with owners who want to win things and continue the redevelopment of the stadium.

Reality is, our only buyers now are Gulfies or Wall St types. There clearly isn't a wealthy true Palace fan out there with sufficient means and engagement to take over. Hard to see how Parish gets out

Is that all he has now, 10%? I suspect he's not the biggest fan of Textor, so it might be a case of willing buyer, unwilling seller.

I think the completion of the new stand will be a magnificent achievement for Parish, and he could well see this as the right time to take a bow and move on. Maybe it's a question of how much gas he has in the tank? Possibly he could take a deep breath and set another target, like winning some silverware for the first time in the clubs history?

Dear John, Please buy us a shiny new striker and perhaps a winger to replace Wilf. Many thanks
