If there were a hornets nest monkey, I’d pick it up and volley as far as possible, let alone kick it!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

Amazing how Eze’s mum and girlfriend have both managed and gone to the lengths to create a few profiles each on here.

You obviously have the ability of a peanut to assess a player

Benteke is an asset in offering something others cannot. He's a very likeable character for me so I personally find it hard to hate him. Just needs to be crystal clear on what he can and cannot bring to a game (wordplay intended).

Edouard is looking a bit lightweight since he arrived, that cameo at Spurs still looking to be his best performance. Might also argue he needs time to adjust to the league and team and vice versa. Thought he was a fantastic acquisition at the time.

Mateta - Good movement, tall, seems technically capable, young but yet to be convinced of him as a 'finished article'. Very much see him as an Origi character, may have decent spells but struggle to see him developing to become 'prolific'. What do I know though eh?

Ayew - Not Russia, apologies, meant 'not a striker'.

Your opinions of the CFs were spot on weren't they

Hahaha

I didn’t ‘assess a player’ in my comment. You obviously have the mentality of a 13 year old who has never played football, but a lot of PlayStation and watched YouTube clips, to assess a footballer.

That comment is still valid in my eyes thanks for bringing up.

When PV eventually moves on to bigger things I fully expect SP to be employing the services of LA as his replacement. He clearly thinks he understands tactics, formations and player ability better than PV so it should be a shoe in.

For me, Wilf did not seem particularly interested yesterday. I watched him at the final whistle, a very brief applause too the Palace end then straight down the tunnel taking his shirt of as he went, the body language of an unhappy man. I think he’ll go this summer.

He apologised on Twitter and blamed it on extreme disappointment.

Had this impression too.

I was pondering whether it might be one of two things:

1. He is quite aware of his decline in being able to do ‘what Wilf does’ and perhaps that’s knocked his confidence and interest.

2. He is doing his best to adjust to PVs game and perhaps a bit of an identity crisis there, heightened in a poor game, in the cup semis, at Wembley.

Not that either of those two hypothetical scenarios are either correct or even closely resemble reality, was just my impression.

I really hope Wilf doesn’t start to ‘fade’ to the point he becomes virtually useless to us and his legacy ends without event and possibly quite pathetically.

If true, that’s good to hear and glad he addressed it.

I watched Zaha leave the pitch and thought he just looked disappointed. No histrionics or anything like that. Clearly he desperately wants to win something and probably saw this as another opportunity gone.

As for the game itself I thought he did ok but not many get the better of Reece James

I think the amount of tactical fouls the ref allowed Chelsea to get away with yesterday was a disgrace.
Hopefully they will fade away now that they can’t throw away hundreds of millions in a scattergun approach to buying leagues and cups
