Yeah, there is one of us who can cast the first stone. However, I think the issue is they made the rules that were very tough on many - really tough in some cases - but didn't keep them.

I struggle to comprehend how difficult this is for some people to understand.

As I said up the thread, I felt pity for her as she hadn't done anything wrong. She laughed at the awkwardness of a mock interview. Hardly resignation stuff. The tory press and even the BBC wrongfully characterised it as joking about the party but it was hardly that.

This clip was released by the party to deflect the problem onto a few naughty staffers in order to distance the problem from the Cabinet and then chuck this poor woman under a bus as scape guy. She didn't organise the event and wasn't even there. She didn't lie to Parliament.

I wonder if any MPs were there? Steve Barclay?

Politics can be very ugly.

I think you have it spot on.

Whereas I think your first four words are far more accurate.

Na, only joking.

I think you want to punish these individuals when in truth this is a class thing.....those with means have always lived by altered rules....and we don't even know that there was a party in the manner it's being portrayed as anyway.

There has been an absurd level of quite nasty commentary on people who haven't actually made those ridiculous rules.....that's actually a small subset of people.....rules that you approved of being set I might add.

Johnson is awful.

But I can't think of a more popular Tory at elections....he's kind of like the Tory Blair.

Ha....it's so close to actually being spelt Tony Blair.

Agreed. I thought I was in the minority in having some sympathy for this woman, nice to know I am not alone.

Can anybody think of any subject where Johnson has not lied?

I can't.

In fact I rely upon it.

If he told the truth about something I would feel disorientated.

Well Javid said that this morning so until the outcome is known I think best to keep the powder dry. Or not in most cases on here.
I'm sure he wouldn't face that awful naga woman who tried to lead him to admit it was a party if there were no substance.
Guilty until proved innocent must be a new thing; until its one of you!

So you don’t think there was a party?

Yeah, it"s in his dna , makes you just think the opposite when he says something, which isn"t good in a pandemic with 10% of people not vaccinated and a load more not bothering with the booster jab.
