I'm staying on target. This isn't about where Hancock chooses to stick his cock. His wife and children are of little concern to me. This is all about following correct procedures for hiring of personnel, and procedures for awarding Covid contracts. Also (potentially) using personal email addresses for Government business, expense claims for trips and how family/friends got financial benefit from Hancock's decision-making. And IF Hancock did anything, you can bet he won't be the only one implicated. This is a slow burner, and I bet a few members of Government are having squeaky-bum moments. I agree it’s about the families - but in context.

My dad was 72. The girl in the room next to him was 25 and heading for a ventilator. That’s s*** and a tragedy.

How we all act behind closed doors is a reflection of how we will be remembered. Whether Hancock was an idiot isn’t up for debate and whether he wears a blue or red ribbon matters not. He was The Health Secretary - he had to go, there is no doubt over that.

The one thing that does grate me is being told what I should be upset by. My dad’s brother died of cancer caused by Asbestos. That’s a crap way to go. I’d take Covid over that. Not everyone being able to be there is s***, as is the lack of funeral. Your world may stop spinning, the whole world doesn’t.

I also think it's worth clarifying; I don't think most people's outrage here is just based on the fact he had an affair - it's the fact he's had an affair whilst lecturing the country on the importance of following the rules and making a personal sacrifice for the collective good. People didn't get to say goodbye to parents and partners based on his rules, and he couldn't even sacrifice a quick shag with his mistress - how can you pretend that's not something to be outraged about?

To be a leader in a crisis you need experience of crises, good judgement, speed of responsiveness and the ability to take others with you on the journey I have learned this from responding (not just reacting) to crises. Hancock had none of the requisite skills Was it his fault? Well I guess he put himself forward. Was it BoJo’s fault? Well he put someone he considered fing hopeless into the role and took absolutely no action as that became clear.
