I think PVA is also now a major liability. God...we need a major clear out. Milo as well.

Milo was great tonight.

(Not saying we shouldn't be looking to strengthen in the centre midfield position, because we should. I'm just saying let's not just bash our skipper because it's the fashionable thing to do.)

I thought we played pretty well and should have got at least a draw. However we have players that are not good enough for this division like Benteke, Danns, Ward and van Arnault. In addition we have players whose fitness record is poor like Tomkins, Sakho and Wickham. All these players are holding us back and should be eventually moved on.

I totally disagree with this, Luka offers nothing as a captain or a player, he is a complete liability , can’t pass , can’t hold the ball, gives the ball away in dangerous positions which lead to goals, can’t take set pieces (apart from pens) doesn’t motivate the team, doesn’t stick up for his players , doesn’t do anything apart from cost us points , in fact , you’ve got me on a rant now , he is the worst player I have ever seen wear the shirt and when he first signed he was good! I don’t understand what’s happened to him but I really don’t want to see his name in the lineup again

Maybe when Sam signed him we didn't play the style we do now. That's the type of style he performs in.
If you put salah or sterling in our side and played royball they would be crap as well. A player doesn't get to be a worse player unless drastic changes happen around them. Likewise put luka in an attacking side like Everton and he would shine for sure.

I disagree with that aswel, he can’t pass , he can’t do much really anymore , might aswell play with a deck chair in midfield

Same old, same old.Cut and paste.

All our attacks concentrated down the left,no switch out to the right from centrally with a player in space out in the wide right positions. We don't have an attack minded right-back or a right wing-back who could provide an extra dimension out wide on the right.

In possession, we play in confined areas, not opening up the play and making the pitch "Big".All very tight and congested with players running down blind-alleys down the touchline.Perhaps the reason is that if we lose the ball we have our players in fairly close proximity to prevent a counter-attack.

Problems across the defence with some players not up to the task and I would suggest might even be found wanting in the Championship.

Luka’s a big lad and his legs have gone. Same with Sakho and Dann Don’t think there’s much more to it.

Its like f***ing groundhog day. Same team, same formation, same plan, defend deep, wait for oppo to level or win game, make late pointless subs. Do the right thing Parish ... we need change.

Okay, well you're entitled to disagree. It doesn't make you right though. Let's have a look at your post:

I totally disagree with this, Luka offers nothing as a captain or a player, he is a complete liability , can’t pass - he can pass. He showed that with a sumptuous through ball against United that PVA should've scored the winner with.

, can’t hold the ball, gives the ball away in dangerous positions which lead to goals, it's the nature of his position...and you're quick to blame Luka for this but
it's not just on him. There's next to no movement in front of him

can’t take set pieces (apart from pens) - he can.

doesn’t motivate the team - his teammates have been quoted saying the opposite. That he's constantly talking to them and guiding them through games.

, doesn’t stick up for his players - again, not true. Whenever Wilf has a sulk, Luka's often first there to calm him down. And constantly talking to the ref.

, doesn’t do anything apart from cost us points , in fact , you’ve got me on a rant now , he is the worst player I have ever seen wear the shirt - you're ludicrous.

and when he first signed he was good! I don’t understand what’s happened to him but I really don’t want to see his name in the lineup again

Look, I'm not saying he's another Kante. But the stick he gets is ridiculous from people like yourself who see him give the ball away every now and then and make a judgement. He tackled and intercepted his heart out tonight.
