Meyer has had two years to make his mark, He hasn’t had a run, because he hasn’t warranted a run, he has made any number of appearances ,apart from the odd bright ten minutes he has not looked like holding any position down. All that has happened with him is ,that it’s now clear why he was allowed to leave Germany.
We all held our breath with Meyer, two years is a longtime though, and only he could have delivered.

Played - past tense of the word play.

You're claim was that they were Sunday League quality.

My fact was that out of the last bench, 5 players had played international.

I'll pop down the park on sunday and ask the local side how many of their players have had a call up for Germany.

Not really word play is it?

Reidewald might well be a current international if he got a look in.

Would have thought the few bright 10 minutes spells were enough to warrant a run in the team?

He might not be fantastic, but we've lost the last 6 and not tried to change anything.

The opposite , beyond ten minutes he hasn’t displayed the upper body strength and stamina, to compete in this league for ninety minutes. Once his early momentum goes he is to easily taken off the ball. One of our biggest problems, which he doesn’t alter .

Still using that lovely patronising tone, I see - nice chap.

Maybe they aren’t good enough.. know the easiest way to find out? Play them. If they bomb the next couple of games and never appear in the first team again.. what have we lost?

Mitchell looked fine in the cameo the other day, been linked with a move to Spurs after they were impressed with him at youth level. Similarly Pierrick has looked fine in cameos. Why are they on the bench if they’re so far from being good enough?

They didn’t know, and presumably didn’t think, AWB was good enough, and that turned out alright didn’t it.

I am actually quite a nice bloke

A few people on here talking about a potential 8 game losing streak. Let’s not get all whiny until it happens, eh? And let’s not forget the 4 in a row before we started losing.

Vive le Roy!

You must only play with three defensive minded midfielders is the tactic employed. Aside from free kicks and penalties, how many goals do you think our electric midfield dynamos (Kouyate, Milivojevic, McArthur, McCarthy) chipped in with this season? The answer is one goal for Kouyate. So the sum total of assistance to our goal scoring from our regular perm any 3 from 4 is one goal in open play all season. How can that possibly work at this level. When you add to this the fact Wilf has only got 4 and Andros 1 you have to think this team with these tactics are in trouble.

It is little wonder we are the second lowest scorers in the league and what is even more frightening is that the next closest has scored 7 goals more than us.

Well done Roy for keeping us up again but I very much doubt you can do it again with this team.

I’ve no idea if Dyche would be considered.
However, he mentioned his recent interview that his family has remained based in the south while he’s in Burnley and that he has spent much of the lockdown with them in the south.
He’s also unhappy with the Burnley wage policy inasmuch that guys like Hendrick are not being re-signed at the end of their contracts.
Palace are likely to be able to attract better players through paying higher wages.
It’s also doubtful he would get a top 6 club.
You then start to think he may have limited opportunities and Palace could be an option.

I think his family are based just North of London. We may not be a step up but perhaps being able to go home to your family at night may be a reason

Short memories are all the rage on here.
