I believe this to be correct. An interesting scenario emerging, if Leipzig agree terms and want to buy, technically he is a Palace player but Trabanzor can buy. Can Palace scupper any deal at this stage? Can we negotiate the fee and a %? Personally I think we probably can.
Another reason why loan deal was agreed by a f***wit[/quote]

Why Is that?

A 2 year loan deal with no recall option is imo pretty amateurish.

The detail of the loan deal has always been in question. But if the player is in serious talks with a third club. Then he is governed by one of three things. 1 . He is a free agent. 2, he needs Palace to sanction him even talking to another club. .3, The Turkish, team already are his club. And they are allowing a transfer to take place. If he was not sold to the Turks, and as his contract with Palace hasn’t run out . Palace should be due a fee directly from Leipzig,
Half way through a loan agreement he can’t be owned by both clubs .Was it a two year loan? Or was it actually , A deposit taken , with the rest payable after two years?
The Turks can’t sell an on loan player. So why would the player be in talks with a third club.

But if he is being sold half way through a 2 year loan deal to a different club and we get the money then it just proves we wanted rid of him and nothing amateurish about it.

Parish demanded a full , independent investigation to find out how such a terrible deal was signed.......Brighty to head investigation hahahaha

See how much he gets sold for then deduct our pre agreed sale price

Not sure how many on here have any real idea of the detail of the deal. I don't

You are probably right but I thought there was a rule to stop players being bought and sold multiple times in one season?

No doubt someone on here can clarify that.

We don’t know the inside story here but seems a massively naive deal to agree to doesn’t it? Yes he was awful at the time and many were not upset to see the back of him but no call back option on a 2 year loan? And apparently no reported sell on clause thats is just negligent, it’s that sits with the men at the top who signed it off. Makes palace look complete amateurs.

*disclaimer.. fingers crossed there is at least a sell on % for us.

If Sorloth, is still a Palace player Leipzig , have to have Palaces permission to even talk to the player. If this story is not fake, then Palace would have to be completely in on this. Which would give the impression everything is working in their own interests.

Eddie Newton, seems to confirm, Sorloth, is Palaces player to sell.
This could get interesting ,if the interest is real.

I think we did want rid but no loan deal should be agreed without a recall option surely! Particularly in view of our striker/injury problems. IF we get the money and it may be a big IF it has ended well but I don’t anyone at Palace can take any credit for that.
I do wonder if this scenario has ever occurred before? Presumably had we got a recall option he would have returned whilst awaiting the possible transfer. It would be nice if fans were told the details of the loan deal
