I feel that the only sensible way to show displeasure with the racist and divisive politics being embraced by football, and particularly Sky Sports, is to cancel our subscriptions. My Sky contract is up for renewal next month and I'm seriously considering my options. The trouble is that this insanity is everywhere. With the BBC, anyone with a licence should exercise their right to complain directly. Legal and peaceful protest is an option for anybody. This is not just about football.

But BBC tolerance for diversity doesn't extend to people who don't want to pay their licence fee. That minority are to be excluded will they may not be a minority much longer

[Link] Worth reading. As well as the trouble and the statues, tgis is what really irritates a lot of people. ‘ I recently spoke to some members of our party, the SDP, about the concept of ‘white privilege’. Among our many working-class members, I heard terrible stories of ancestors who died of pneumonia and TB, people losing fingers in industrial accidents, grandfathers who died coughing up coal dust, and families of six living in two-room Tyneside flats. These stories don’t fit into BLM’s crude racial narrative because our society is far more complex than these ideologues would want to describe it as. This racialisation of politics and its assertions of ‘white privilege’ only serves to erode the historic and current struggles of Britain’s working class.’

The working class never had any privileges and it's an insult to them. These champagne socialists looked down at them in the past and they continue to now...instead now it's their skin colour that's privileged apparently...because that's the current method. In the dim and distant past, I had the misfortune of encountering some of these "Champagne socialists" who in all honesty were brass-plated hypocrites down to their boots and I certainly did not hold back in labelling them as such resulting in heated contretemps.

There's some discussion on the Internet over the Police response to this banner dragged by the plane. Some are asking exactly what offence has been committed here. Some wag answered, 'flying without kneeling'.

"White lives matter" - deemed insulting and offensive. Man caught urinating next to the memorial to PC Keith Palmer.Press outside the court, custodial sentence to the offender within days. I am enquiring as to the actions taken against those defacing the Churchill memorial, to the person on the Cenotaph attempting to burn our flag and to the reprobates who hauled down the statue of Colston in an act of vandalism. Edited by Willo (23 Jun 2020 11.01am) This is why any conviction will be impossible. The defendants' lawyer would simply need to make the argument that the words "WLM" cannot be offensive if "BLM' is deemed to be inoffensive. Whether or not a "jibe" against some protest movement was intended will be irrelevant. In fact there is no legal duty to be aware of any protest movement or what it stands for.
