Cheers Tickled, my point is that someone may have the virus without realising they are contagious and that is how the virus is going to spread. Not really a laughing matter inspite of the light hearted banter. That is why the powers that be are trying to contact people that have come into contact with confirmed cases.

Sorry, but I have altered my post anyway because it was very silly, please read it again.

It's not as mad as it seems.
I'm waiting for the first football player in the EPL to get it and games cancelled due to other players needing to isolate.
Ha ha the bin dippers win the title by default.

Love to take some antiseptic gel, shops sold out, so will ask politely not to be frisked, my concern is as I am in one of the more "at risk" categories I am trying to minimise the chances of getting the virus whilst still going to football travelling etc. 😊

Goner give it a miss until we know more I'm afraid.
But I will be giving it all my heart from a distance. COYP

I'm also type one and having a poor immune system is always a worry isn't it, with diabetes I have no pain anywhere though and I'm very sorry to hear you have RA, my sister has got it and has had it since she was 42 years old, my dad also had it very badly so I understand fully how you must be suffering with it.
We must keep ourselves well away from this bug for as long as we can but whether we can actually last long enough for the virologists to find a viable vaccine is very debatable ..we only have about another sixteen months to hold out lol

Apparently about one in five people are at risk due to health problems in this country, the most at risk though as it seems at the moment are people with lung problems, I think that has always been the case anyway with all the thousands of flu bugs we humans have had the pleasure of.
At least our silly leaders and the even sillier ones across the Atlantic have put forward lots of £/$ to speed up a vaccine for it ..could take about only fourteen months now lol

Just had a thought, will we be body searched going into the ground tomorrow. I know the security wear gloves but.... what if they search someone that could have the virus and have sneezed/coughed into their clothing, the virus will be transferred to their gloves and then passed on etc.
I for one won't be taking that risk however small that may at the moment.

WTF? I suppose that could happen. If they frisk a knight in shining armour

Otherwise no, non-shiny clothing cannot sustain the virus.

Frisking isnt my worry, mine is that we may actually score and unbridled hugging breaks out

Yup we are all over media'rd about it and certainly it appears the old are at a far greater risk.
I'm totally with you but some have to be more wary than others.
It doesnt appear to be like normal flu so protection against it directly is not available yet.
As I said I'm giving myself and son a better chance of not getting it (ATM obviously, never say never)
By staying clear of large crowds.
Girly maybe but a choice I can make.

If you are worried. Wear gloves. Don’t touch your face, nose mouth ears etc. De sanitise all your post and the floor it lands on. Don’t talk to anyone. Don’t go near a pub or shops. If someone coughs........
