Reasonably pleased with a point against a team that were less than the sum of their parts.

One big negative was Luka. Imho I thought he had a shocker.

Thought he was poor last season as we tbh. Great at penalties but seems incapable of passing a ball now. Gone the same way as Jedinak

Was fairly ok with that, Everton looked good but our defence looked strong and a lot of players youd be worried about had good games - dann, ayew, ward, Kelly- which gives me more confidence than before, especially as zaha will come back into the team

37 more 0-0's should secure our place in the Premiership for another season.

I saw nothing in that performance to make me change my mind about our chances this season.

Everton's finishing was poor and we were lucky not to concede two or three goals. Up front our finishing was pathetic.

Totally agree. Everton could and should have been 2-0 up at half time. CB and Ayew might not be prolific, but no great surprise given the service and the utter lack of support from midfield. Look at how few players we get forward compared to other PL teams. I saw no difference to what was served up last season.

Was at the game today, thought we played well particularly in the 2nd half.

I was sitting in the Holmesdale upper tier and twice saw an Everton player take foul throws in quick succession with his foot miles over the line

Been interesting if VAR dissalowed the goald should Everton of scored from either foul throw.

Ayew was great today, encouraging performance all round.

Some VAR decisions can lead to them going back an almost comedic amount of time so it's certainly a possibility. I'm assuming sometimes that will work for us, other times against. Let's hope we get a bit of luck with it rather than a VAR shaped turd.

PVA goal line clearance was excellent, best piece of defending he has ever done for us IMHO, he saw the danger and got there to deal with it

With a disruptive build up to the game that was a good result. Never thought we would keep a clean sheet with that defence but Kelly and Dann were superb and Ward was decent enough. Ayew had his best game in a Palace shirt so hopefully that is an encouraging sign. Also saw a new side to Meyer yesterday in that he came back and worked hard defensively and he seemed to be the only player defending down the left as PVA was all over the place. However his goalline clearance saved us.

Only negative is I think we will struggle to score goals at home again with only two shots on target. Hopefully Roy will get Camarassa into the team alongside Max so that we have two creative players in midfield along with Zaha
