Yes the biggest difference was giving us no space anywhere on the pitch and they often had three on Zaha! But still considering this we defended well enough at the death to keep them out, although they will kick themselves I'm sure, much stronger squad and bench.

Well, that'll make a nice change for them from shirt-pulling, obstructing and pushing and shoving the opposition........

PZ Eagle/Maine Eagle (in no particular order)

You have spent the entire afternoon and evening posting insults at each other and it's getting very boring for the rest of the people on this thread.

If you wish to make any more personal comments about each other, do so by Private Message, as the next one to post here in this manner gets carded.

Dunno about any of that bollox, but if you stick your nut out of the window at any point today it's been blowing a gale wherever you are. It's called a storm. Storm Hannah to be precise.

So, whether you're by the sea, in a dip, at Selhurst park, whether the tide is in or out or the sun is in the moon's house and there's a boil on a pimple on a witch's tit, today was b****** blowy wherever you were.

Pick the bones out of that Professor Burp!

Not exactly impressive given the endless whining and bulls*** you’ve shared about how good this season has been.

I've not missed much since giving up the season ticket the season fat Sam left I grant you!

Another great judgement call by me.

On the contrary. played our best football in the premier league last season once Roy stepped in.

Disagree strongly.

Our best football was under Pardew the first season before it all went tits up and everyone realised he had nothing but motivational buzz words. The football under Pulis was decent enough, and after the catalyst that was the Sunderland s*** show, football under fat Sam was surprisingly satisfying and purposeful.

Hodgson did excellently last year, saved the club and sorted us out.

This season has shown that he's reached his ceiling, completely 1 dimensional. Before the slide begins in earnest we must replace him this summer.

Sadly PVA fails very often to link up with anyone. Going forward his passing lets him down and coming back it's his positional that does it, very frustrating player because when he gets it right he can look excellent.

PVA was piss poor today, got dragged out of position far too many times and his passing was also poor. It is one area of the pitch I’d definitely try and improve on next year.

At times we did. It certainly hasn’t helped losing Cabaye and RLC from last seasons team. Everton were better than us yesterday. We struggled with the wind. Wilf had a poor game as did most of the team yet we ground out a point. It wasn’t a great spectacle but not much has at home this season. But it is a results game and we are twelfth in the league. Before a ball is kicked next season I would take twelfth and a decent cup run

We have had this problem all season, fine away from home when we sit back and attack on the break with Zaha, but struggle at home when we are supposed to take the game to the opposition.
Yesterday when Zaha got the ball he was often confronted by 2 or 3 opponents so although he had a "bad" game he was being given a thankless task.
I dont recall him being given anything to run onto just balls to feet or even behind him, to unlock a defence like Evertons a little more guile from our midfield is needed.
Is it that we dont have that type of player (Myer?) or that we need a completely different system at home. We say it every year but this close season could be our most important one.

Anybody else think the referee had a shocker ? We were poor, in my opinion so was he.

"Brighton are talking about how they're coming for us. And it's like, we've been waiting in the Premier League for you for ages." Wilfried Zaha, 2017.
