Poor second half. Ground it out but thought we might push on for a couple more. Giving the ball away a hell of a lot. Through but not pretty having been comfy at half time.

Straight forward victory in a banana skin type match

As a Palace fan of some years I'm very confused!

Yeah we have all witnesses the standard Palace scenario of never taking the easy route.

But at half time we were cruising and have made hard work of this game through negative tactics/ subs.

Cup run is fantastic and glad we have reached quarters but our league form suggests we are in regression under Hodgson. Clubs like Wolves, Watford, Bournemouth,Brighton etc have all over taken us in recent years and will easily finish above us because we simply aren’t ruthless enough. 20+ attempts on target each week means squat if you aren’t getting 3 points.

Really ? Thought they would muster more for us to worry about 2nd half. In the pot for the next round. Home tie please not against one of the big boys. COYP !!

Oh bless! Max was just asked about "was it a penalty?" but his reply was about having to prepare in case it went to penalties. TBF he speaks better English than I do German.

Job well done... Never really felt under the kosh at all and always felt like we could step up a gear if needed.

Bats looks rusty... Good performance and pretty comfortable really.

Got to say a massive well done to our fans as well... A s*** journey but did not stop singing all game... Did us proud.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I'm liking Clinton's comments post match, pretty much said exactly what I was thinking and seems to still very much be interested in Palace.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Max Meyer' by bexleydave

He'll have to settle for MaX of the match.

Good run, clearly grimaced on his second touch on the replay so knew what he had done wrong. Seconded about the fans
