Yep, it's a shame what happened to Mills.....but that IPL money should have set him up reasonably at least.

The race is up for the bowler to replace Anderson and Broad and that's going to be interesting.

It should tie him over for a while, but he just missed out last year unsold and also missed out on his Big Bash stint with an injury.

If Sky pay their guest pundits by the word he'll at least have earned extra yesterday.

Optimistic as ever

It is the 'big bash' today alright.

England 300-3, I think 8 overs left.

The hosts have plenty of big hitters too, of course.

Morgan and Buttler have been playing golf out there.....oh, as I type Morgan's gone.

That batting was pretty special.

I don't think I've ever quite seen what Buttler did out there in a one day innings.

Wow, what an amazing game.

England win one of the greatest one day games.

Phew how close that was.

England have acute bowling problems.

Ben Stokes efforts described as the worst ODI bowling performance ever, then he gets a wicket.

Surely you must bowl yorkers into Gayle at the start of his innings, he is static.

20 wides, assorted beamers, hopeless misfields, amazing batting, such entertainment.

It was an amazing spectacle to watch but I think it would be nice to see a more even contest between bat and ball with perhaps a spicier pitch next time.

I don't think that we have "acute bowling problems" Stokes didn't bowl well at the beginning of his spell but he's one of our more reliable bowlers and just had a bad day at the office probably not helped by the Windies chappie in charge of the TV graphics describing him as medium pace

England’s batting yesterday was like from the sublime to the ridiculous. It is the reason we will not win the World Cup. Every series we have an off day. You can’t do that in a World Cup as one off day and you are out.
