It looks like that resulted in the conditions precedent not being fulfilled Effectively that means no contract was completed. And a non contracted player can’t be insured by the club. Anyway, didn't the PL confirm the player had been registered by Cardiff, and hadn't UEFA signed off on the transfer of registration (according to the press).

Cardiff announced him as their player didn't they? One wonders if the tragedy hadn't happened whether Cardiff would have played him and not worried about any of this

I think there may be some dispute over the lack of signatures on the correct documents! Unfortunately, leaving you 50p out of pocket.

See someone has been arrested over Sala's death. The McKays and the ownership, management and staff of Cardiff do not seem to fit the description - a 64 yr old North Yorkshireman. I can only think it is someone to do with the operator of the plane. Apparently the original pilot was supposed to be David (Dave) Henderson. He is based in Yorkshire and in his sixties - whether that means anything I don't know. No idea if he has a connection with the plane. I believe he did some kind of BBC thing at some stage about being a ferry pilot. He seems to run a consultancy now.

It could be somebody involved in the organisation of the flight, who knew that the flight was not entirely above board. In that position they may have had a legal duty to intervene.

Looks like the toxicology report on Sala is indicating high levels of carbon Monoxide which is likely to have affected the pilot as well...and would rationally explain why the plane went down. If true at least neither was likely to have been aware of it.

I have a carbon monoxide alarm on my clock radio. Apparently its lethal silent and you can't smell it. I had my marbles on when it went off one night and I shut the gas off under the stairs, however the gas people found nothing wrong next day. I guess you go to sleep and that's it.
