Apparently Kloppe is mates with Shalke sporting director so it could be Solanke joins them. Apparently Klopp is mates with Schalke sporting director so all sorts of lazy journalists will be making up bollocks and using this to make it sound plausible. There are two conflicting reports circulating at the moment so one of them must be bollocks. The only suprise is that there aren't a couple of other bollocks rumours about this doing the rounds as well.

Indeed, that was why the press were originally pinning Solanke with Huddersfield because of Klopps relationship with their manager. We play a similar system to that of Liverpool and as such would be a better fit if it was a loan deal...also we are the ONLY club that he's reportedly had a medical with...so I'd say we're still in the driving seat on this one at the moment.

How can people keep having a go at Parish? His decisions have kept us in the premier league for six years now and rescued us from oblivion in some of the darkest days we have ever had. He always does everything in our best interests and is clearly a massive fan first and foremost, plus he is candid, honest and a man of real integrity. Where our club is compared to ten years ago is quite astounding. He deserves our full support and highest respect.
The Queen supports Crystal Palace. Perhaps she'll buy the club then legitimately all the money in England shall be ours. Plus all the swans. |

I'm afraid I wasn't informed by perusing any press articles - just got a text message with the details and the Liverpool aspect which I highlighted in my post. I got one of them to. It said “Wotcha Mate, just read on the net that that Liverpool striker you’re after might be going to Germany. Woohoo - I’m in the know. Yay!!!!!

well i hate to say i told you so but ..... Your a bit premature there, as the Germans have denied any interest/contact with Liverpool. Still, it's a good opportunity to slam Parish. This is the Jan transfer window, there are stories. Most totally fake. I suggest everyone waits to see what actually happens.

Back on the Solanke topic, I myself wouldn't see him as the answer to all our problems. There are so very many lads who have great records at youth level, including for England, but who never make the step up. If you look back at the lists of England U21 squads who got to finals over the years, an awful lot of the players ended up either lower-lague pros or not pros at all. It isn't a gold-seal guarantee of anything, and Solanke has done nothing at all in senior football.
