You joking? The game completely changed when he came on. Won a couple of headers, held the ball up well and managed a shot on target...more than most of our other players managed. I know you're looking for a scapegoat...but Sorloth isn't it. I agree. For once Schlupp actually looked sharp and at it too. Yes Sorloth should have scored but he gave us a presence up front which until his arrival was missing. Sadly we were not good enough against a fairly average Spurs. As the wolf found out, you don't blow down a strong wall with just huff and puff. Wilf would have ruined their fullbacks today, so it's such a shame he was unfit.

We looked seriously dangerous once Soerloth was giving them something to think about. That was a bad miss though and hopefully judgement will not fall on that one moment: without him on the park we'd have been out of it long before that. (And how many of those has Benteke fluffed?). Schlupp didn't look too bad but still wasteful on a couple of occasions. Ayew once again was f***ing s***e. Can't be mentioned in the same breath as Zaha.

So predictable. No Wilf no points. January can't come quick enough and if the chairman doesn't buy a quality striker and a centre half then he should look to sell the club instead.

Well, that was quite a miss, but Sorloth has plenty of misses left, if he wants to catch up with Benteke.

Agreed. At least he was on target. Ayew was s**t tonight. Like to see us play 2 up front but you know that's not gonna happen. All 3 of our strikers (Benteke, Sorloth and Ayew) are bloody useless and you want to see 2 of them on the pitch as starters??

I have to say Roy's got to be blamed for that, yes, we have bugger all but you work with what you've got, Sorloth should have come on earlier when we were mostly in control and it was patently obvious nobody on the pitch could score, he's all we've got. It's as if Roy has never seen us play before. The mind boggles.

Other good news is, we're almost out of this nightmare run of fixtures of Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and Man Utd. Burnley on the 1st might be tricky too but would be a great way to return to winning ways before playing Brighton.

If he is not getting any game time and with us being so deficient in front of goal at the moment, then he should be working his butt off on the training pitch as clearly the manager does not feel he is up to it. Really ! And Ayew is! Better tell that to Meyer as he's only started 3 or 4 games for us. Tell me Schlupp brings more to the team than Meyer!
