Sometimes you win when you don't deserve to...... Concerned at our tardiness with the ball, we are not winning loose balls and we don't look assured at the back.Plenty of balls flying around our box that we are not killing. Plenty of times we'll lose and be unlucky, so I don't feel guilty.

To sum up. We were atrocious. Poor forward passing. Dithering in defence. No control of the midfield. Well below what we are capable of. It's lucky that Huddersfield couldn't hit a barn door with a bazooka.

Sounds like I'm in the minority today but I'm delighted regardless of how we played. A win on the road is not easy in this league so well done lads.

Very lucky to take all 3 points today. Outclassed by Huddersfield, yes you read that right. Have to say Wilf was fantastic as usual, and still not getting the protection he should do from referees, another high challenge that could have caused genuine injury. Ayew impressive, Luka and Kouyate were very meh, really don't get why Meyer didnt start or even come on. Roy has to make changes earlier, but can't complain too much. 3 points are 3 points and its something to build on.

If you think we were ever on control of that game, you must have been watching a different game. Good 3 points, but play like that against anyone with a decent forward line and we'll get murdered. We weren't though were we? Apart from the shot that hit the post they didn't look like like scoring unless you count the times they were offside. We had a goal disallowed which was a perfectly good goal, so yes we were in control and I never had the feeling we were going to draw or lose that game.

It’s a good result but if we’re being honest the performance was very poor. It’s so disappointing that in our 6th year in the Premier League we still seem to be showing no signs of wanting to adapt our style of play at all. At times last season it looked like we were finally looking to progress to a long term vision, as opposed to just playing relegation football every week. But today and against Southampton, we’ve looked as bad as I’ve seen us for years. Saw more intricacy in big Sam performances than the last 2. Meyer sitting on the bench and it’s looking like we’re reluctant to bring his style of number 10 into the team as opposed to a Kouyate type, who in possession was dreadful. You can already see a familiar pattern emerging with him, to waste this opportunity of having a talent such at his at our club would truly be criminal. He can’t be another Riedewald. Can’t be too negative after 3 points. But it’s just frustrating watching us play like that, when we just don’t need to at all. We have the players and the ability. And we’ve proven we can do it. Also Macca missed a sitter and Zaha and Ayew both missed a decent chance that Andros put in.

How many times in the last few seasons have we bemoaned points chucked away? This is the other side of the coin. Roy and his team need to suss out that things aren’t going well on the pitch, though, and sort something out. ‘Me’ nerves won’t take too many games like this one. P.S. I’ve maintained my 100% prediction record. 100% wrong!!

We are away from home playing a PL team, we still created decent chances and didn’t Give too much away. It was at times a really bitty game with tough tackles and they were passing really well. It was a really solid display by our defensive players today, but we still had more of the ball and played out from the back fairly consistently.

I'm delighted with 3 points, but concerned at how awful we looked, again. Our midfield is atrocious, no idea how Meyer isn't playing. Kouyate added nothing. Luka has been invisible all year. Mac had a bad game. I thought Ayew looked a lot better, and our back 4 had a good game overall. Our inability to control or pass the ball is going to plague us all year unless we find a solution. Oh, and Zaha proved once again how we are a one man team. Our only hope to score is to get the ball to him and watch him dribble through 5 guys and then score.

A good 3 points against a tough physical side. Just didn't think Hudds would score. Lads can you please help Zaha out and get on the score-sheet?

That might be reasonable logic for some clubs but this is Palace and our ability to f*** things up in injury time is legendary.
