Thank goodness for that. The last couple of seasons they've turned into a parody - particularly the younger members.

Abusing their own fans, walking round in black like an New Orleans funeral procession and causing grief at away games.

Not needed.

Right, this is off the BBS and is the HF’s view:

Info given to me from someone directly involved
paraphrasing:

- it was never a 100 for 100 HF swap, that's disingenuous from the club.
- HF didn't want that
- idea was an inclusive, huge Palace singing section open to all to take a "faltering atmosphere to the next level" - (see wembley for what they wanted to achieve)
- Current problems anyway in block e with front half standing/back half sitting causing the club grief, this would also deal with that.
- HF adamant fair system put in place so long term season ticket holders looked after, "first choice of seats". stressed inclusivity
-also a chance to get friends/family to move together in the stand
- move agreed to by club as far back as august!
-club botched the whole thing apparently, "made a mess of it"

HF feel club has thrown them under the bus and made them scapegoats for the clubs terrible handling of situation. By pushing 100 for 100 swap the club have used this an excuse to deflect from the clubs "incompetence". Despite 100 for 100 never being true.

Having read that I now understand their frustration and disappointment. But I don’t understand how the HF or the club thought that it would be accepted by people who don’t want to stand, don’t want to move, or can’t move to a similar view, because, let’s face it, we’re short of options until the new stand is finished.

Oh and if a whole central block stands then the whole of the lower tier will have to stand. None of it makes sense until the new stand goes up and loads of people will be moving here and there.

Nothing will change , we’ll still ramp it up when needed to. They didn’t like sky’s cameras on them so wanting to move behind the goal doesn’t make sense, and bang out of order to the supporters who sit there.

If true Palace, they will tip up and get behind the boys. If not, sadly plastics, but I don’t think that’s the case.

Really???.

These guys have been monumental in making the club stand out in a really good way with the best atmosphere in the Orem!!!
Some of you seriously need to take a look at yourselves.

A deal should have been made, some sort of mediation with the club and them. Without them, there will be no atmosphere, AGAIN, I take it everyone who is saying “wont miss them” are the same lot saying “sit down” “don’t swear” “don’t knock my prawn sandwich out my hand”

Im disgusted at the way some of you are ripping into the HF after all they do for this club.

Funnily enough, no.

And I don't believe that saying I wont miss them is "ripping into them". Just expressing an opinion. Which I believe I'm entitled to do.

All good. Nothing bad.

Fair or not, if people didn’t want to move then they didn’t want to move and why should they?

‘First choice of seats’ - given the number of season ticket holders we have who would also be keeping their seats that is still pretty limiting.

A chance to get family/friends to sit together? Maybe, but again what about the people who already do sit together. In the upper tier I’ve been sat with largely the same people for 20 years! I like my seat and the people around me and in a similar situation I wouldn’t want to move either.

Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time.

No problem, I've even sorted out your post for you as you were having a bit of a problem with quotes.

If I recall corectly, the question of a standing area, in the new stand, was adressed by someone else getting a 'no' response from the club, which was posted in the "Stadium Plans" thread, but I'm not, understandably, prepared to go though 120 pages to find it.

Before any conclusions can be drawn, we'd also have to know the club's side of the story.

Thank you for sharing.

Interesting. It appears a lot of spin have been used by the club.

Our overlord is after all a master of smoke and mirrors.

And according to the post above it looks like no one was being forced to move. The block would have been open to everyone. It's about creating new singing section, not about removing 100 for 100.

Something needs to be done with block E regardless. Half the people want to stand and half want to sit. There are weekly arguments in that block which isn't good for anyone.
