In fairness AJ coming back was pointless but harmless. Freedman's influence is difficult to judge but the transfer business this window looks astute.

I saw the tweet someone linked earlier and dismissed it for the same reason. date shows June 2012. However the kits in the pic look much more recent. Me thinks a photoshop job to try and settle a debate.

I wasn't implying he was talking about Bolasie, just that Palace fans' weird obsession with signing ex players has been noted for years.

Surely we take our lead from Parish as it's him that likes to bring old players back again. In addition to Freedman he also brought back Pardew, Salako and Bright to name but four and I have no doubt that there are more if I could stretch my brain that far

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle The old boys act around the club may or may not be a good thing but it's not really the same as suggesting we sign Bolasie and Dwight Gayle.

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Yannick Bolasie' by Midlands Eagle Yes, it is a very different thing. The questions have to be: can they do a job for us; and If the answer to either question is no, then we shouldn't sign them - no matter how popular they were. I mean Dwight Gayle is a "no"; Bolasie a "maybe"; Nathaniel Clyne or Victor Moses would be a different story.

The 3 basic qualities they need to answer at least 1 or and hopefully 2 are: Does he score goals? If the answer to a scout is no to all 3 of those then it’s a no.
