OK, he did not have his best game against the thugs from Watford, but all in all he is quality. I like his personality and our defence seems to trust him, more than happy to see him between the posts here next season.

That Waatford coss was a wind assisted fluke no different to the De Bruyne fluke goal at the Ethiad which beat Guita as it sailed over his head.

Yes a total fluke it was.

Certainly it was intended as a cross, there was no intent to go from goal but it doesn't look good for the keeper when the ball is in the air for that length of time from the position the ball was struck and it sails over him into the far corner.

Same goes for the De Bruyne goal.

Quite how anyone thinks Hennessey is better than Guaita is beyond me!

Yes, WH had a solid start to the season but we all knew the wheels were going to come off at some stage. VG is a far more reliable and athletic option. I bet if you asked any of our back 4 who'd they rather it, it would be Guaita.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

People who think Hennessey is better than Guaita basically dont know anything about football.

I am not sure anyone does , but there are some reasons to doubt.

When Guiata got his chance when Wayne was injured after a fine start to the season , he looked solid and made some vital saves that earnt us some points.
Vital saves are saves that are made at 0-0 to stop the opposition going ahead or when the game is close. Due to this Guaita made the no 1 shirt his.
After that he started to concede goals that the much maligned WH would have been criticised for , such as Chelsea's winner , very harsh but no doubt WH would have been slaughtered for.
Now has has started to look a bit flappy , the West Ham penalty which gave them a vital lead , the Watford cup game in which he again contributed to conceding the vital first goal.

Now being as he has only played a handful of games for us in which it could be argued that he has cost us as many points as he has earned I would say he is somewhat inconsistent and the jury is out on whether
he is any better than WH , especially after the start WH made to the season.

Let's all try and remember WH joined us during our first season in this our longest ever run in the top flight and has contributed to our stay , therefore has proven himself a regular top flight keeper.
Yes he makes mistakes , not as many as some on here believe , but how much would we have to shell out to get a keeper who makes a huge difference ? McCarthy, the french guy and now now Vincente , on fees alone, all fairly cheap options.

Vincente looks promising and let's hope he puts his wobbles aside and goes on to become a Palace great ,
but after the last few games he has given reason for doubt and you therefore have some reasons why some people may think Hennessey may be better than Guaita.

Also I think if you asked our back four after the Watford / West Ham games who they prefer they might not be so sure as you think.

I suppose the point of the debate is that there is no such thing as the perfect keeper , WH is not as bad as some people try and make out , and Vincente needs to get back to his early form to retain shirt.
I hope he does.

You have expressed my view far more eloquently than I could have done.I am not as cerebrally blessed as the vast majority on HOL.

Think Our Spanish keeper showed today who should be Our 1st in goal rest of the season.
Guaita stepped up in 1st half when rest of the team dozed off....
