He's the one out of the three of them I'm most looking forward to. He's a total unit, he makes Wickham look like Mr Puniverse. And we've really been missing movement and pandemonium in the opposition box, the only player who really creates that is Wilf and he's not a striker.

He should give us something different from Benteke who is more the traditional lamppost-type striker and who doesn't really create anything for himself but expects to be "supplied" all the time. And if he's been brought up in a Scandinavian style of football he'll probably be pretty direct, they don't mess around or overcomplicate things.

To be honest I have never seen Sorloth play and know precious little about him so I shall reserve judgement.

All I know is that he has only played in much lesser leagues and whether he can make the step to the PL remains to be seen.I suspect supporters will contrast this signing with the signings of more established players in Sturridge, Ulloa and Ayew etc by our rivals.

Vardy didn't turn out too bad. We shall see.

That’s a really good observation Ferret. I think you’re right. It’s a big ask for him though to rise to that level of impact straight away, which is what we need because of the injury situation with Sako and Wickham

Sorloth (22) failed in Dutch club Groningen and has 1 goal in 12 appearences for Norway. Let's hope he slots straight into the team. Remember though, this is the Scandinavian preseason so don't expect too much too soon...

In case someone hasn't already said this:

"welcome Alexander I hope you are a great success at Palace and enjoy your time here". Put in a shift for each game and you will win the fans over."

Put in a shift and pop a few into the old onion bag and the fans will love you.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Looks composed with some clever finishes. Strong in the air. Turns well and has a great touch for a big man!

Lets hope he can step up into this league and hit the ground running.

Young so plenty of room for improvement.

Let just hope he ignores what Benteke is doing movement wise in training! He tried so hard to stay with the defender, I think the straight run lost him...
