Another cracking result especially as Zaha was slightly off world class today and Benteke is sooo frustrating. He is a real talent but just doesn't seem to be quite firing on all 4 at the moment.
If someone could just tweak him a little then when Wilf's normal world form resumes and the acid filled new man who turned up when Roy arrived.....yes you got it, the goalscorer Sakho, we are going to be unstoppable.
There were clear signs in the first half of what is to come.
Some poor team is going to get hammered by us soon.
All fantastic stuff.
Many thanks Roy, absolutely incredible stuff.
We didn't have a bad player on the pitch and we've got 8 out. Staggering cos Burnley are no pushover.
We are playing as a proper team now.

Makes me chuckle when pundits on the radio keep talking about the "new manager" effect in relation to Roy and other managers. Don't get me wrong I'm a huge fan as our manager, a real gentlemen, as exemplified by his match conferences in an increasing bickering managerial world. His personality has supposedly filtered down to the training ground and it is clear he is getting the most of the players. Liking him to the scenarios with Moyes and Pards is also not relevant as he has done a much larger job than those 2 from where he had to start. COYP !!!

I was there, and it was far from dire. Really good first half, thought wd tired a bit second but battled well. Great performance.

Totally agree. It wasnt dire at all, but as someone has said - so frustrating! Does any team miss more chances than us?

Sako, if the dude from the Spammers joins then we are very much in trouble.

Just got back. Terrific first half performance particularly when the front 3 kept knocking over the Burnley defence and created some great chances. It was a definite pen too.

We were just hanging on in the 2nd half and were short of ideas. We couldn't cope with them closing us down or keep the ball. Sako's level of effort compared to Benteke was like chalk and cheese.

I was amazed no subs were made but am delighted at 3 valuable points.

Once you include Benteke though it's unforgivable. Should be on 2 himself. When the ball isn't going in from the fantastic flowing football that's when you need your striker to feed on the scraps and get it the score it should be.

He hasn't.

Bakary sako scored the only goal as crystal palace continued their revival under roy hodgson with victory over burnley, the mali international cut in powerfully from the left after GOOD WORK FROM CHRISTIAN BENTEKE,,,,,,bbc sport,,,,,,,,just saying,,,,,,,,,,maybe we wouldn't have got any goals without tellers !

Goodness knows when that has last happened in a Palace team. Great effort from the starting 11.

Well this is something special. It should have been a clearer margin than just the one goal. But check the line up or more importantly, the absentees, and certain things come to mind.
Stalwarts Ward, Sakho, Cabaye, Schlup and Townsend missing but the run continues. The rearranged line-up against the Weed pretty much back-fired as backbone players Schlup and Townsend were injured and had to be replaced by our 'thin' reserves.
What's going on? Roy's training ground ethic has taken over I guess.
How does Roy buy to improve on a team among the most consistent in the league? Change who? The squad is the sum of its individuals after all.

I remember you trying to have a go at me for making a gay joke once about Brighton fans - yet it seems fine for you to take the p@ss about someones speech..
